Does Tom Aspinall ever comeback to fight again?

The fucking belt at HW should be a hot potato. Whoever can't fight gets stripped, fights the champ when they return like LHW. I don't give a fuck if it's Waldo vs Volkov for the vacant belt as long as some momentum gets going.

I think it's funny how the exact same people that cried about Jones taking a year to heal, are waiting a whole year for Aspinall to have his first real HW championship fight completed, yet are encouraging the time off. No I don't think Aspinall as champ should be given the same grace as Jones, considering that it was his first time off by injury since being a champ in 2011 and obviously his amount of defenses.

Aspinall got screwed by the eye poke and that's after waiting for Jones, but he's still a champ that never won an official HW championship fight. Gane doing the same shit after beating Tuivasa, I'd say the same, and ironically most of the people constantly protecting Tom. It's not the end of the fucking world he returns when healthy and 1st fight is against champ.

It's been five minutes, Karen, what are you talking about? That kind of exaggeration ain't bringing out the manager.

623 days between winning the belt over Gane and "defending" against Stipe. We're on day 97 since the Gane fight. That's like 15% of the time.

If Tom is out 6 times as long as he already has been, that's  still coming back sooner.

"By injury" is an important distinction there, ain't it? I didn't realize being champ longer is like working at an office, where you accumulate your sick time. Plenty of vacation days too, apparently.

Good thing that doesn't matter then, eh? Promoting from interim to undisputed doesn't require getting an extra win. That's what the title being "disputed" means. They are both considered champ, just that one of them is currently "active" (Tom in this case), and they either unify when the past champ is ready, or if one of them drops out entirely, then the champ is immediately no longer disputed. It's pretty simple.

Yeah, he could get stripped/vacate, then return straight to a title shot. I'm good with that. I just think that should maybe happen A) when we know for sure he has a lengthy recovery time (eg Jiri, Jamahal...) or B) He's been out for an unreasonably long time, which we're not even close to. There are healthy champs that have been out longer than him. This outrage is so fabricated, it's ridiculous

Crazy how Tom Aspinall becoming popular without being a shitty human being or a shitty fighter has gone negatively for him. I mean the dude challenged Jon Jones, waited around for the fight, the fight never happened because of Jon Jones's games & entitlement, the UFC shelved him because they let Jon play with them too, then gets poked in the eye & he is the problem. Lol.

All in all, dude smoked the competition & is the champion no doubt. He got poked in the eye & has to get an operation on it so he can not only fight but be a normal human being with vision. He will be back, just not on y'all's selfish timelines. Aspinall haters are getting as bad as the Brock & Conor nut huggers.

It's because we haven't had a legit HW championship fight since March 2023. Aspinall became HW champ June 2025, and we've only had a NC since.
Yes I am a Karen for this cursed ass HW division.

Still Jones completed the Gane fight and Aspinall did not. I count a NC as not counting. No doubt Aspinall showed up ready to fight, but fact is we have a champ potentially for 1 year who has never won a real championship fight. Yes, I think Gane should've been stripped if this happened the same way.

Yeah Jones had legal matters, but still signed fights. I really hate how we wasted so much time after Stipe, and Jones wasn't as active like Pereira was toward the 2nd half of his career. Still rate Jones as having earned it like other dominant champs did, where Aspinall has not.

I agree that Aspinall should be champ when he got it, the Jones/Aspinall saga was such bullshit to burn his prime like that. But now I think he should recover and return. They are booking April now, which leaves the damn Aspinall/Gane rematch atleast August or later if he's still getting surgeries right now and not knowing a day to start a 2 month training camp.

Jiri won title June 2022, vacated November 2022 (5 months) immediately after injury.
Hill won title January 2023, vacated July 2023 (6 months) immediately after injury.
Aspinall was injured October 2025, and February is here (4 months) with a current surgery and no return.

Not only that but it made the LHW division more fun with a few champs floating around, gave Alex some hype beating former champs. HW division doesn't have a single former champ in it after Arlovski left. Well also Jones/Stipe, but they weren't going to continue.

It's shitty luck for Aspinall honestly, and also it's going to be a really bad look for the UFC to strip a champ after an eyepoke, I get that's horrible. But what if they vacated him and put Gane/Pereira for vacant, Aspinall fights winner before end of year. I'd rather do that than wait until August or later for Gane/Aspinall rematch. Wait until 2027 to finally move on from that fight. Aspinall has already beat the whole division minus Gane or Almeida that matters, maybe Waldo wins some more and earns it.

The guy can barely see because a typical cheating Frenchman nearly blinded him now you're abusing him on a forum? Lol, Aspinall has already surpassed Stipe, DC and Jones at HW and is about tied with Ngannu for HW GOAT.
