Does know one realize this? Kamaru Usman is shaping up to be the GOAT

Dude got a gift vs Colby. Plus, Khamzat is gonna go thru him like Jones did to Rua. He is a tremendous fighter, but a long way from being GOAT. Heck, look at Igor: dude did not taste defeat for like 38 fights as a 5'8, 68 inch reach chubby dude that took on the best heavyweights.
Like for mentioning the Ukrainian Sparkplug, a throwback KO Machine. I wish he got more attention and love on these forums for how and when he did it...

MMA was still in the Pioneer wild Wild West days, Igor has multiple performances that resulted in 3 KO’s in a one day tournament, actually I think one tourney he had KO finishes by punches, knees, and a headbutt....LoL

Yet GSP, Hendricks, Kos, Hughes, Shields would have all beaten him easily.
GSP is my favourite fighter and I do think he is the GOAT, but lol no.
Only fighter in that list that would have a good chance is prime Hendricks. The rest all get KTFO or beaten down by Usman.

Stop the madness, half his wins are versus LWs and he lost rounds to them. Colby is hardly a world beater either. Usman shows all the classic signs of roiding and he looks down while power punching. P4p is laughable enough...and GSP dominates him right now.

Fake news. The majority of fans scored 3-5 overwhelmingly for Colby, with the second being about a 50/50 split between a 10-9/10-8, so you are best case looking at a draw from the cumulative scoring. You are being desperate if you are saying this was clearly for for Usman. Your opinion is not absolute.

Majority of the fans on the platform are deluded then.
Colby won the 4th round and that's it, maybe the 3rd as well but it's already a stretch.
(This without counting the 10-8 which makes the "Colby won" arguments completely moot)

Exactly. If there was a 5'8 guy with a 68 inch reach that went undefeated for 38 straight fights while beating Ngannou, Gane, Glover, Izzy (the best fighters in the world at any weight), this forum would lose their mind. That is what Igor did tho, but many people do not realize it. He beat an undefeated prime Kerr, who was every bit as terrifying as Ngannou. If Igor fought today, had a modern nutritionist, he is a middleweight at best, very likely even smaller.

He's not all that close to being ww goat. And very, very far from overall goat.

sherdoggers when thier favourite fighter is not considered GOAT by other people.

I'm a big fan of the 90s fighters, but let's be real--Igor's opponents were nothing like Ngannou, Gane, etc. He beat some big freak shows (Varelens, Fred Floyd, etc.) with very little skill, and he should've lost to Nick Nutter in his first fight. He never fought a technical striker during those 38 fights. I was watching NHB/MMA back then and wanted to see Igor fight a taller striker who knew how to use their reach/length and had good leg kicks. Bas Rutten, Mo Smith, Marco Ruas, etc. Even a prime Don Frye (circa 1997) would've been fun as Frye could fight standing, in the clinch or on the ground--and went wherever he had an advantage. But Igor beat guys no one ever heard of in small orgs and tournaments. He was a great fighter, but didn't get tested until later when he fought guys like Coleman, Kerr, etc.

You don’t get to pick the goat criteria….. those wins count just fine imo ……

They shouldn't count.
Everyone has their own criteria and has to determine for themselves. For me, Jones has had so many PED failures that his whole career is practically an asterisk. And that’s a shame, because he has a stellar list of names on his resume.
Personally, I don’t hold the Jones losses against DC at all. They just don’t hold much significance. And one is officially an NC because of Jones’ doping.

Colby and Burns are both top, top guys. Stop hating ! Both would be champs if the other two guys didn't exist.

Both are a product of the welterweight division in it's current state. Colby is a cookie cutter wrestler boxer, but his weakness is he lacks power.
Burns is one of my favourite fighters, but he has always been beatable.

They both beat the same fighters to get their shot from the previous aging generation. Maia ,Woodley and Robbie (with RDA for Colby) are their best wins.
Those guys were great, but they caught them all in the sunset of their careers.

Usman'ss resume won't stack up long term to GSP and the other guys you picked apart at the start of this thread.

They shouldn't count.
You have a right to your opinion ….I’m of the opinion that a very very high percentage are/ were using shit …..so if jones is DQ from these discussions then 95% the fighters are as well …..Just because someone is fat and loves Popeyes chicken ….doesn’t mean they haven’t done anything…..or they might’ve got the good shit from the “ Canadian Olympic wrestling “ team they trained with hmmm ….
