Do you think Stipe will beat Ngannou for a 2nd time?

I think time is on Ngannous side and hes destined to become UFC champ, and hold the belt for a long time. Stipe is pushing 40 and his activity level has been terrible, especially considering hes been facing the same guy repeatedly.

I've got Ngannou, he's been training really hard by the looks of things.

Fitness/cardio seems improved.

In my opinion Stipe and DC looked quite poor in their last showing, very sloppy fight and DC gassed hard early and Stipe wasn't able to capitalise.

I think Ngannou catches him this time.

Stipe and DC have been in their own bubble since 2018, so it's hard to tell where they stand now, compared to the top contenders. I mean, yes DC beat Lewis too but tht doesn;t say much.
It may very well be a completely one sided fight in favour of Ngannou.

I love when dummies say we haven't seen any changes in Ngannou when we literally seen several changes in the JDS fight, like was I the only one who watched that fight lmao? He utilized several leg kicks, played it patient and retreated at points when he was getting the better of certain exchanges to not rush it and risk getting countered. He was literally a completely different fighter lol

There is also an interview where Ngannou's coach says they seen in studying film that Rozenstruik sometimes struggled when he was pressured and they felt they could exploit that which they did perfectly.

If you think Ngannou will fight Stipe the same exact way he did the first time you've gotta be mentally disabled.

I don’t care if Francis improved his training, there is zero evidence that he will be able to stop Stipe’s power double, and we have no clue if his cardio has improved enough to not fade if the fight goes out of the first few rounds. Francis has a decent chance to land a ko early, but if he doesn’t then he will be in for a long night again. So I have to go with the guy who has proven that he can go five strong rounds, uses better movement and is a more fluid striker, and more importantly, has already put together and executed a great game plan to beat Francis. Bottom line is Ngannou has to make more adjustments then Stipe did their first fight.

Ngannou is matched in skill and fight IQ only by tank abbott. He managed to catch people occasionally too so he has that much of a chance at victory

problem is stipe has achieved so much already. dont know if hes still hungry
hes getting older too
stip who fought dc the 3rd time beats any nganou version

I think this fight will look a bit different im leaning Ngannou, the first fight Ngannou went real hard for the first 5min so he gassed fast. This time i expect he will probably pace himself better, if he does that i believe the KO will be very live till late round 2 early round 3.

Stipe is older and took alot of punches from DC. I would also assume Ngannou has worked on his take down defence, 3 years is alot of time to improve it.

The heavyweight division needs a champion who is going to be active and defend the title on a regular basis at least twice a year. I wouldnt bet on Francis to win but I sure hope he does , although if he does that would lead to a trilogy fight which im sure would take another extended period of time to make. I think its soon time for the champ to think about retirement

I just rewatched their first fight and it's crazy how fast Ngannou gassed. Still can KO him obviously but if it's a decision there's no way Stipe is losing.

He came totally out of shape and ditched the gameplan from the first second. The pace of that first round was mental.
It won't happen again, he's gonna come sharp and fit.

Prime Stipe beats him every time imo but he is older now has taken some damage and the hunger and motivation isn't the same so now is a lot closer call.
The thing is that he shouldn't fight Ngannou at all, I know is an unpopular opinion but he has earned the right to make the calls and the only thing that make sense for his legacy is to fight Jones and then retire. The UFC obviously wants to waste Stipe so bad ... and honestly Stipe would be an idiot to fight Ngannou (huge risk) and let Jones the privilege to rest and prepare and probably use "supplements" till the summer.

Is Stipe not in his prime anymore? When did he lose his prime? Was he in his prime when he fought DC the first time or did he lose that somewhere in the six months it took Stipe to return to the octagon after his fight with Francis? Did he regain his prime for the second and third fight with DC or did DC lose his prime after the first Stipe fight?

You don't think a year is enough for Jones to reap the full benefits of rest? And why do you think he's off the juice? Because he lost to Reyes?

I think decline is a gradual process, and it was happening to both DC and Stipe. Both looked slow throughout that series, and particularly in the last fight. It’s not as simple as Stipe being in prime for the Ngannou fight and not in prime 6 months later. Stipe—like all fighters—is declining, aging, and slowing down, and it happens over time. He looked old, slow, and not like his usual self in the last fight.

I personally think Stipe will win. He dominated the first matchup, and we haven't seen any changes in Francis' game that would suggest the outcome will be any different this next time. I don't think he has the wrestling and cardio to deal with Stipe if it goes past the first round. However, Francis obviously could land the KO shot in round 1, so it would be foolish to count him out completely.

How many times out of 10 do you think current Fedor beats current Francis?
