Do you think Stipe will beat Ngannou for a 2nd time?

Cormier has a more compact boxing style, which has its pros and cons.
Stipe won't have the option to safely box at range against Ngannou and his 83" reach. He has to take significant risk for each significant strike.

If you think Ngannou is technically weak, you're missing something. He has deceptively good footwork (when fresh), his counters are fast and accurate and his ability to chain power punches is unique in the division. Yes, when he moves forward he is often telegraphed but that's not all his game.

What I wonder is what happens if/when Ngannou start throwing the leg kicks he used against JDS and Blaydes.
Does Stipe catch them and get a TD? They're fast and upward so not that easy.
Stipe can safely box from really any distance just like he did in the first fight if he uses his foot and head movement like he always does. Francis just has too much of a wind up, his punches are seen coming a mile away

Stipe won't be facing the same fighter, and he was everything but safe in their first fight.

Safe isn’t a good word just because of the nature of Ngannou’s offense. But stipe is way superior at every distance in terms of skill, so if he plays it like he typically does and doesn’t make any mistakes, he should win regardless. Francis hasn’t shown really any improvement despite what people like to say, he’s the same fighter who’s used some more kicks than usual

stipe has better cardio ...

same ol same ol IMO

if dude was smart he'd be taking any and all fights in between time

same outcome though in title shot ..Stipe gonna be slick and wear his ass out

Francis is a much better fighter now. His stance is wrestling ready and he has, judging from said stance and many interviews, been focusing on grappling ever since Stipe loss. Not only that, he seems more calculated, has powerful kicks that he shown against Junior dos Santos.

That's the thing about this fight. You just don't know if he's improved from the Stipe fight in fixing the holes that led to him getting dominated. Every fight has been a quick KO, which we already knew before the Stipe fight. We don't even know if fixed his holes from the Lewis fight if a fight goes beyond a few mins. You just don't know until the fight happens and he stops TDs and is able to force his game on Stipe and finish him.

I love when dummies say we haven't seen any changes in Ngannou when we literally seen several changes in the JDS fight, like was I the only one who watched that fight lmao? He utilized several leg kicks, played it patient and retreated at points when he was getting the better of certain exchanges to not rush it and risk getting countered. He was literally a completely different fighter lol

There is also an interview where Ngannou's coach says they seen in studying film that Rozenstruik sometimes struggled when he was pressured and they felt they could exploit that which they did perfectly.

If you think Ngannou will fight Stipe the same exact way he did the first time you've gotta be mentally disabled.

LOL, you're calling people dummies and writing a post like that?? Come on man! You literally mentioned a few things that Francis changed and adjusted standing and being more patient. That is not any indication he's managed to fix the holes that led to the Stipe domination. Francis has improved as a fighter, sure, the more he trains the better he gets. But fact is that if we strictly talk about the Stipe fight, he hasn't shown anything yet that shows he's fixed those holes.

He's ended his last 4 fights so fast we don't see it. Perhaps he's worked on his TDD and grappling and improved greatly, or maybe not, we just don't know till fight time. We haven't seen him defend takedowns since the Stipe loss, we haven't seen him on his back, and we haven't see him beyond 2 mins of the first round. Ngannous problems were defending TDs, being able to get up of his back, improve position, defend ground strikes (he took so many) and cardio as the fight goes on, he took more and more damage as the fight went on. It's all one big question mark right now.
