This again. Why didnt Anderson move up to fight Jones? Jones up to fight Stipe ?. Guy stayed in his own lane

As highly speculative as it is, maybe GSP knew something we didn't at the time (PED usage).
That could be part of it, but that's a huge "if", but more likely, the fact Silva had competed, successfully mind you, at LHW...that paired with The UFC making 10's of millions, if not more then 100 million off of this fight, whereas Silva and Georges probably getting 500 grand each, it just doesn't make sense for someone who comes off as business sauvy as Georges.
 
GSP vs Silva was the biggest fight to make in MMA at one time. GSP-Bisping was fun but not nearly as big as GSP-Silva
 
Likely not but he got something much better than money from that fight. He became a two division Champion that retired with the Belt.
 
GSP vs Silva was a fight everyone wanted to see.

But putting it all on GSP is blatant hate.

There were times when GSP was ready for the fight but outside factors intervened, other times, Silva was ready and other factors prevented it.

Yeah he maybe knew he was on a lot more drugs than Silva

LMAO @ thinking Silva was on PEDs and GSP was not

An experienced lifter could even tell you what stack GSP was on (test + hGH, probably EPO too)

GSP was very conservative and calculating during his reign; he didn't take many risks in the octagon, even if he fought the best in his division consistently. He also had a big issue with PED usage and testing, which made him feel it wasn't an even playing field.

GSP could have very well been on PEDS, this we can only speculate on, as well as Silva being on them at that time also.

No chance he could have 3D delts/traps while maintaining that body fat and a 25 minute MMA gas tank.

test, hgh and EPO sounds about right, but I wouldn’t expect many of gsp’s fans to be aware of this stack

IMO, it seems unlikely that GSP made more money against Michael Ping, given that Silva was one of the biggest draws in the sport and that fight was the most anticipated fight in UFC history to date.

Anderson could have gone to 170 or GSP to 185 for the fight to happen. Neither wanted to do it, most likely because its just bad business to give your opponent an advantage without financial compensation. I suspect both GSP and Anderson were willing to do it for an extra few million bonus (the change your weight class bonus). The UFC was used to dealing with fighters too stupid to understand how business works, and refused to pay one extra for changing weight. And neither of them was stupid, so the fight didn't happen.
