I'm indifferent. But I hate watching his boring fighting style. Although he did wake me up when he KOd Masvidal.

I'm pretty indifferent to all fighters, because I just see it as sports entertainment. But he's pretty talented and has been pretty dominant in a number of his wins. I mildly lean toward like.

hate is a strong word, I dont hate anyone.
he seems like a nice enough dude in real life ,
however...
I dislike his dull, rigid fighting style and even more his fan base( read GSP haters) who laughably think that hes even in remotely the same class as GSP as a fighter
either with legacy or skill set.

Honestly he's a nice guy and obviously an amazing fighter. The issue that I see is he comes off like he's trying way to hard and fake when he's trying to be entertaining. Almost kinda cringe cause you know he's not even confident in what he's saying.

Its almost like a good salesman vs a bad salesman. A wrestler that's great on the mic vs one that cannot cut a promo.
I see what you're saying and to be honest, I'm not yet convinced that's not his real personality. He sounds like a guy obsessed with competition and winning. He doesn't try to sound mean or like an asshole, just dominant.

I do agree it's cringe. For sure. And his style of dress doesn't help either. But in real life I'd find a guy whose whole world is domanance to be cringey too. I think that might really be the contents of his mind and he might just be a cringey guy.

But I don't see him saying anything mean or assholish for fake image. He says crazy things like he's thinking of moving up to 205, but I'm not sure he's not really thinking that mess.

I think that I'd find most guys who fight for a living at least weird and he's probably someone who exemplifies that. But I do like to hear about his non stop thirst for winning every now and again. I'm not the kind of person who has that need or drive. I want to live a good life, including taking losses and learning lessons. So I do find hearing that kind of person speak is sometimes interesting.

But I agree he's no natural talker and he's not a generally interesting human being. He seems to ha e almost only variations on one thought: being a champion. And yeah, that's kind of cringe, lol. But it makes for an interesting career arc. And a dominant champion who only goes 30% at times.

I find him cringey and the complete opposite of cool... He just doesn't have that vibe, but he tries it on too much for me. It all seems like a big ruse with the way he talks. Regardless if he is putting it on or not, he just doesn't strike me as comfortable in his own skin for whatever reason.

But... I generally don't go for guys who get overrated quickly, which I think is the case for Usman. Him and his team have been a lot more "pick and choosey" with opponents - and yet we sit here talking about him as a potential GOAT candidate... I dunno. Beating the same guys twice with a division full of good fighters... And two of the guys he beat recently, one he beat twice, were both 155lbers.

I can honestly say that Usman has really grown on me, there’s no doubt that he’s got a legit exceptional skill set, wrestling, dirty boxing, and his striking has improved exponentially over his career. What sets him apart from the rest is his willpower, especially his cardio. He’s a great Champion and IMO the most dominant and well rounded, only slightly edged out by Volkanowski. The reason I have Alex slightly ahead is because Volk has two all time greats in Aldo and Max on his resume, Marty hasn’t had the opportunity quite yet... and no I don’t consider Woodley in that category.

I like the guy.

Almost voted indifferent. Lol.

but honestly most of his title fights are pretty damn exciting and he’s looked spectacular lately. So I like him a little for sure.

mma just doesn’t have the charm it used too.

Nice thread but why is love one of the options?
We don't know these fighters enough to develop that level of emotion.

I don't think it's meant in a romantic way or anything too personal. It's like loving a music artist or band, or a certain food. If you like everything or almost everything about something, people tend to say they love it. If people really like to see Usman's interviews and his fights, they probably love following Usman. So "I love him" would be an appropriate choice.

Love him as a fighter. If he cleans his division a second time (beating Edwards and Chimaev), I put him at solid #2 WW ever and p4p top 10 best fighter ever
He's powerful AF and he's crafty. And he has a granit chin

Usman is the goat. Hands down. I think he’s gonna rock peon in the first round.

Also how he daddy’d that Ex nfl player - legend status

Can't stand him. Comes across as totally fake to me.

Talking about integrity and respect and then boot licking that shit stain Kadyrov for a new car or whatever lol.
Whole Burns situation seemed petty as hell too. So he expects his training partners at the same weight class to give up on their dream because he is the champ? Come on...
Being part of Abdelaziz's cringe squad is the cherry on top.

He's a very good fighter though and also pretty entertaining in his last few fights.

I completely forgot about the Kadyrov stuff.

Yeah, that's not good.

I like and admire him normally but when he's smashing colbys jaw then I adore the man

Never met him - but I respect him (one serious fighter)

I'm neutral on him

Faced overrated masvidal twice, and Colby. That's most of his title defenses.

But arguably goat WW skill wise

It's just a fun poll to make to see what people say. Why is hate an option than?
