It is quite common. Those who marry the complete opposite to their parent usually involves some trauma and or drastic income disparity.

No I only dated one girl I would say was like my mom, most dysfunctional relationship i had by a mile, and my mom hated her right away

One of the worst women I dated was liked by my mom. She was a manipulator who knew how to kiss ass and get people to like her. But my mom just saw the surface and took a liking to her and commented on how this girl was better than my previous ex, whom I thought was much more stable and authentic because she didn't try to impress anyone. Best relation I've had but we broke due to circumstance more than anything. The girl my mom liked ended up cheating on me lol. It made me think my mother isn't a good judge of character and I shouldn't trust her opinions on the women I meet.

Not unless i want someone whos gonna be screaming for me to get home before it gets dark. Or throwing shoes, wooden spoons or other hard objects in the direction of my head. Or smacking me in the cereal isle for whining about not getting capn crunch. Or only allowing me 30 mins of vids time. I think you get the message.
