Do you get a flu shot?

I got one, I work in a hospital and have very limited patient contact at this point. If someone didn't come to me and give me the shot I wouldn't get one. I take a lot of care about hand hygiene in areas where there's a lot of patient traffic, but that's probably a bit of residual paranoia from when I worked in the ER. I've had the flu before, it sucked, and working in the ER it made a lot of sense to get the shot, since the alternative was wearing an n95 all night long, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get one now. That said, I've never had any reaction to the shot itself.

Experts recommend that just about everyone gets one. The flu is hitting hard this year and I'm wondering what percentage of Sherdoggers have had one.

Colliodial silver and vitamin C are much better mechanisms for preventing the flu or a cold. Vaccines have side effects and most vaccinations increase your risk for cancer and other deadly diseases. Definitely a useful tool to keep patients coming and going in the health care system. These so called experts that recommend vaccines own shares of the drug companies that manufacture and sell the vaccines. They are not people I would entrust my permanent health to.

I have to get a flu shot. No flu shot, not allowed to work. Part of working in a hospital.

Most of what you said is not true and cannot be backed up with sources.

If you don't get one in the hospital I work for, you have to wear a mask in front of patients til April. You also have to wear a big lime green badge that says, "Because I care."

They tried to pull that shit here, nurses union called foul, and the government backed down.

Our Nurses Union is weak and has zero balls. They said they were going to do something about it and then they released a memo a week later stating we need to get are shots or no work.

Weak I tell you, so weak.

No, all I ever do is drink OJ and use a little ibuprofen when necessary.

I always make it through the year okay, and I worked in a mall for 6 years.

I've gotten the shot and mist for the past 6-7 years, and it worked. No side effects at all. Though I do seem to have a good immune system, only getting a cold or two a year.

I don't understand how people get sick form the flu shot. It's a dead form of the virus.

In my adult life I've had just one. Coincidently that was the only year I did not get the flu. I should wash my hands more.

I don't ever get a shot. Exercise, eating healthy and taking good multivitamins has worked quite well for me so far.

Macdaddywrasslin might wanna be careful with those flu shots, his kids might turn out to be pizza thieves like the one he elbowed.

No one should be having the flu shot if they're under 60 and do not have an auto immune disorder, pregnant or suceptiable to illness. It's unnecessary.
