Never tried it, open minded..

I was born and raised in Hawaii so yes, but I don't eat it that often. I still have my spam musubi maker since the 90s, lol. Haven't used it for over 10 years though.

WTF is that?

I've always wanted to fry up a whole solid block, and then slice it up like an Easter ham.

Way too salty for me although, otherwise, I wouldn’t be opposed to eating it. I think the low salt version was too salty as well, so I doubt this thread will get me to try it again.

I think the Don Quijote store here is the only place I saw Spam variants like Portuguese sausage Spam, the Spanish sausage Chorizo(?) Spam, teriyaki Spam, Spam with built in cheese.

It feels unhealthy when it goes into your mouth and down your throat. My throat always feels dry afterwards.

Taste wise? Not horrible, not great, I'd give it a four out of ten. It reminds me a bit of Whiskers though.

I only ate it when my partner fried them sliced thin. It's not a horror food that I find to be revolting, but honestly, it's a bit shit.

It's in a tin though, so at least you can store it.

Spam is greasy, so dry throat after eating it means something's not right.

I predict in the future, they'll come up with some variant of Spam that has healthier shit in it. Maybe omega-3 Spam.

Was junk mail named after this stuff or vice versa?
