Leaving out Elisabeth Shue, that movie is offensive. Then, there was Kokomo. It was released with the movie, as it was on it's soundtrack. It was on every radio station and seemed to play every hour. You heard it playing when cars drove by. You heard it in stores. It was inescapable. I saw more than a few gross moms trying to dance sexy to it. In their gross mom jeans...
Finally, the air was let out. Inadvertently, Full House put the kibosh on it. Uncle Jesse's infatuation with the Beach Boys was it's demise.
After that, there was nothing left.
I actually saw this episode at a friend's house. My friend's older brother, Mike, has pretty bad mood swings and has bursts of anger. There's a scene with toddler, Michelle. The Beach Boys are with the Full House clan, and the kid does a corny/cutesy quip. "Kokomo!" I guess the audience is supposed to go "Awwww... Oh, Michelle!" Not Mike. Nope. He yells, "Little goddamn bitch!" Man, he was cranked. I thought that it was a little too much. Kokomo did make me cranky, though.
