Not supposed to post more than 4 gifs together on a Sherdog comment is what I've heard. If you think I couldn't find more you've just proved you don't know wmma. I just picked 4 of my favorites. Two of those KOs were delivered by 105 lb fighters.

Seriously, though. All of the people here shittin' on WMMA should try watching some of the fights that are outside the UFC. There are plenty of great fights in WMMA. Just don't expect masterful displays of skill and power (although there are plenty of those in WMMA, as well.)

Don't write off the idea of WMMA based on a few crappy UFC fights. It's like saying some of the old "legends" are crap fighters because they got KO'd at some point. Try looking around a little bit, and you very well might enjoy some WMMA.

Fighting isn't just about knockout power. They can have enough power to KO, as we've seen in MANY fights in Invicta, strikeforce and UFC history. They may not be as technical as the men yet since their sport is newer but if the UFC and other organizations encourage the female fighters to keep fighting eventually it'll be at a similar level.

If you like fighting I don't understand why you would care which gender is fighting. Fights are fights.

Men's lightweight division is faster, quicker and more explosive than the heavyweight. Heavtweight offers more power.

Even men's flyweight, you can make an argument there that Mighty Mouse moves faster than anybody in Lightweight.

There are weight divisions for a reason..its not for nothing that when there wasn´t the majority of the bigger guys won...Its how nature works...Now you go put little DJ "mighty" mouse in with the heavyweights, Stiepe Miochic and you think he will win? You´re deluded. He´d get absolutely dominatyed and killed if the ref is not fast.

Unless a heavy weight is a fat and out of shape as that sumo guy fighting the lil guy once then they have no chances. Bets they could hoep for owuld be some RNC from the back but goodluck holding your arms locked. Heavyweight champion > any other champion in lower weight classes.

You see knockouts and tko's in those divisions all of the time. They happen less often, but I have to actually use more than one hand to count them. Even an opponent becoming wobbled is rare in women's MMA.

You can apply this very same logic as to why people should appreciate men's amateur circuits and every org outside of UFC, there are many talents at a lower tier competitions.

This is a far cry from why people should take their time to watch them all.

My original statement was "Why watch WMMA when it's the less athletic and less powerful version of MMA". This girl responded to me by saying why would I watch lightweight fights when Heavyweight can beat them? My answer to that was then what you quoted me on, the lighter fighters would lose to the heavyweights but in return they offer more fast faced dynamic fights.

I never said a thing about faster fighters being able to beat heavier stronger fighters, I simply offered the merits to why these fighters are more exciting to watch in their own ways.
