Do ya'll think the Colby/Jorge beef is fake?--IF so why??

Knowing Masvidal, what you see is what you get. You may not like him, but you know he rides or dies for his people. Colby not paying his boxing coach for sure rubbed him the wrong way. Colby maybe didn't mean that it was that much of a big deal, especially when he continued blasting Masvidal, but those games are not Masvidal's style. He may be promoting it now, but Colby most certainly rubbed him the wrong way and that is very much real.

And when I say rubbed, I mean he doesn't like him at all.

I'm not sure why anyone thinks its all fake.

Of course Colby's MMA personality is schtick. Nothing new here. Do people really think Chael is the same person outside the world of MMA as in it? He tells you he is just playing it up.

You gotta find a way to sell yourself well beyond your ability in the cage. If people love or hate you its better than a fan just thinking your a good or great fighter.

FYI....Jorge doesn't play around and never has. Trust me he has a big problem with Colby. Maybe it will or won't be settled in the cage. I do know they were very close in the past and it won't surprise me that after the fight they bury the hatchet on some level. Not sure they'll ever go back to being very good friends.

I think it's real.

Colby has gone out of his way to not just verbally attack teammates, but also the teammates families (Dustin's wife/kid, Jorge's ex wife/children etc).

Colby is probably just trying to sell the fight, but Jorge is definitely mad about it. Jorge had no problem almost killing Ben Askren, and he seems to hate Colby even more.

True and that does makes sense, but still his reason being that he has beef with Mas because Mas became jealous of him doesn't make much sense.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these two are just playing us. But I do think Colby’s character shtick worse itself out with ATT tho.

I think it's a case of Colby started the character without directly saying this is what I'm doing. Mas prob say it as being fake and then real tensions were created

No when Colby says Jorge is jealous hes making it up. Jorge definitely dislikes him. Colby might be indifferent but Colbys still a man. Any man that has walked up on you numerous times with bad intentions is a man you probably dont "like".
 
It is fake, but fake sells, and Colby became fake over time. However, the fight is real, but it is a job for seasoned fighters. How much invested emotion is really there inside that person is anyones guess ? All it really is male drama.....it is a male soap opera, so they feed the crowd to hate each other like WWE. Men like WWE drama, women like gossip drama and the in-between people like reality shows which is not really reality if you think about it.
 
I mean when Masvidal got knocked out cold by Usman,Colby gloated right there live on tv.

This seems like wayyyy too much work to fake this shit. There's just too many people involved.
 
It's real. The fact that Dustin went at Colby tells me all I need to know; Dustin is far too surly to engage in fake beef.

Edit: They moved it and I'm a bit disappointed but I feel like they should've just allowed this, the thread I made ended up getting different results compared to this thread as we speak. we should be doing our MMA community proud by allowing subject related material when it comes to subjects and not the "This thread did it first" because it'll ruin the joy of what makes MMA so special. that's just my opinion.

The better question is: Who gives a fuck? Neither of them are championship material, and both are just being hyped up to the casuals because 1 has a stupid fucking gimmick and the other has some sick ass knockouts either giving or receiving.
