Even if Colby's persona is mostly fake i can see how he would be not liked by many. He has crossed the line several times with various people. Considering Mas and Colby were teammates / roomates and something went down i would bet there is some genuine bad blood there.

don’t care. two boring mediocrities. feel the excitement

Seems to me it's a larp for Colby, but Jorge has worked himself into a shoot. I personally don't care if it's fake. If they wanna present a story, I'll roll with it. Me playing along doesn't diminish my entertainment, so why not.

If it's not fake then no one should ever be friends with either man. When you've been that close to someone then you are supposed to stay quiet in public about them even if you fall out.

A lot of people here say the beef is fake. And rankly I found that shocking? I think it's 100% real. Like people have falling outs all the time in real life. This doesn't seem outlandish.

What about Colby/Mas getting kicked out of ATT over fighting? What about Colby changing gyms? Ya'll believe that is fake too? Why?

What Dustin Poirier saying Colby is a piece of shit and that he'd only fight him in the streets? Or Joanna calling for Colby to get kicked out? What about Woodley going off about Colby being a traitor and scumbag? Do people think that is fake too?

Am I the one's who is crazy? What evidence do have supporting the fake beef narrative?

MODS: Can you add a poll?

I just don’t give a shit.

It's obviously real.

The idea behind faking the beef is so weak. They've been shit talking eachother all this time for their single non-title fight? Like that's going to make them rich?

And the back and forth has been so toxic, both saying shit hardly anyone would ever say about their own friend, all for a non-title fight? So they could make what, an extra couple hundred g's each?

Silly.

man drama. those eating it up should be ashamed
Instead of starting a new thread, let me ask this. Do real beefs actually enhance fights in the Octagon? We're not talking about street fights. If you really hate somebody, will you fight more aggressively? Or could you possibly become more cautious to avoid making a mistake and getting humiliated?

Exaggerated, and you can base it off the fact that Colby and Usman had a bro moment after their fight, even tho Colby supposedly hated him. And Colby still can’t even provide a good reason as to why he has problems with Masvidal besides saying Masvidal became jealous of him after winning the interim.

Knowing Covington is playing a character is enough to make me believe this entire “beef” is fabricated.
We'll know after the fight. Colby and Usman had a moment at the end of their fight then after during the post fight all the sudden he goes on the gimmick again.

It's real as in they really don't like each other.

It's fake as in they don't actually need to waste any time and energy on it, they do it because of the money.

So the hate is real, but the magnitude is fake. But they fight either way so does it really matter?

I think the pettiness behind the scenes is definitely real. Mas was not the only person that was bothered by Covington taking his fake persona too far. Like Mas said in the interview there was no reason for Covington to target female fighters in his own gym for hype, it makes no sense.

I do think people in covington life simply got tired of his schtick, real or not. And with the thing about not paying his coach, it just seems way too specific to be made up for hype.

WW UFC. The fight outcome is probably scripted too. Lambert added both to fight for the AEW Intercontinental TV belt soon... ;)

I think they might have had a falling out for real, but this will bring them back together.

I mean It kinda is a pretty big deal that the ufc is giving those 2 non champs a ppv headliner. It doesn't happen often, They are going to make good money with each other I hope they hug it out and put the past behind them like grown men, because honestly It was such a good story they all had together.

I wouldnt say it's fake, but contrived. It's like politicians

they definitely go to town on the lead up and during the fights

but otherwise.....

Masvidal would've punched him out in the gym or streets a long time ago if it were real. This is a guy who decked Leon for interrupting his interview on live TV, and you think he would've let Colby do all the shit he's done with no consequences? Yeah.

Colby is capable of doing that, but Jorge definitely isn't. I love Jorge but look how easily Ben was able to upset him with doing so little or Leon getting three pieced for not really doing anything. There's no way Jorge could play a this role.

Jorge don't have to play a role he's just being his angry self, while Colby plays the role.

That's how great scenes in movies work sometimes.
Marlon Brando had his lines on the other actors faces in the Godfather.

This one is a bit tough. I can see some camaraderie between them, not necessarily that they talk on the phone and manufacture the whole thing (though possible), but that they ham it up for views. Going full promotion mode. Both are talented in that. That when they both retire, or even after the fight, they're buddies again.
