Do people truly believe Aspiral can beat Jones?

Do people truly believe Aspirnal can beat Jones or is he just this weeks Jones killer?

Francis was supposed to kill Jon before he quit the UFC instead of fighting him.

Gane was supposed to as well, but was reduced to a "white belt" immediately when the bell rang.

Some guy named Pav ? no one talks about anymore.

Is Aspinal truly someone people believe can defeat him or is it purely just hope like the others and will he be disparaged immediately after losing?
Wow, is that stupid narrative still running?? Francis begged for Jon for years, and Jon priced himself out by demanding 30 mil to even consider it. The moment Francis was gone, Jon signed to fight Gane.

To actually answer your question, I definitely think Jon can win that fight, but Aspinall is most certainly THE fight at HW. Dude has destroyed every ranked HW at this point. It's blatantly clear Jones considering fighting Aspinall a series risk.

The only way Jones beats Aspinall is by fighting dirty.
The way Jon beats Aspinall is pretty straightforward: Tom blitzes, Jon runs. Rinse and repeat a few times. When Tom slows down just a bit, Tom blitzes, Jon stuns him with a hard frond kick to the body, and Jon finishes the fight with whatever's most convenient.

Once upon a time Johnny Walker was the one, now it's Tom's turn.

This is MMA though, so I'm not saying that Jon can't ever get caught. Gane's standup was supposed to be too much for him. Vitor has more accolades in BJJ than Tom ever will. Aside from youth and size, I don't think he presents ANYTHING Jon hasn't seen before. Can he win? Absolutely. This is MMA after all. Is he the favorite? I believe NOT!
