So i tried watching the first Terrifier movie, and quickly formed the hypothesis its a low-budget throwback to 1970s exploitation-gore horror films.... but I didn't discard the possibility it could be good with some creativity.
Only watched the first 10 minutes in total, then skipped around to confirm my initial hypothesis was correct, and its shallow gore-horror.
Not worth bothering with.
Its amazing to think that its been 20 years since Saw1 hit theaters, and that should have been a sign to the entire industry that low-budget isn't an excuse for a horror movie to be shit, and thats the best most-recent example I can think of.
The directing was 10/10, for horror.
The script was brilliant.
And its budget was $1.5 million.
