Do people truly believe Aspiral can beat Jones?

My only knock on Tom is the first Blaydes fight. A freak injury is pretty dubious. Jones has dastardly knee stomps and can fake them for body/head kicks. Last night his body kicks shined the most.. he could definitely put them to use

I don't know if I see Tom getting taken down or being vulnerable on the ground nor do I see Tom wrestling him. Tom will try to get it done on the feet like his last three. He may well be faster, stronger, and definitely younger. By all accounts Tom has done everything to redeem his loss to Blaydes and is the toughest challenge to Jones

And people don't like how it's looking for this match taking place. It's pretty obvious Jon won't do it
 
I think Aspinall stands a good chance but Jones probably beats Aspiral.

Same, as much as I like Aspinall I just don't see it - he's not gonna out-wrestle Jones and his punching power isn't anything Jones hasn't seen before either, Jones is a cock but he's got an immense chin.
 
From what we've seen these past few months I think that Aspinall should beat Jones.

However if I had to bet all my belongings, I'd pick Jones lol, this guy just keeps winning fights.
 
Jones gets the edge but Tom will always have a punchers chance. With Jones lack of activity and age getting up there, the probability just swings further to Tom. The corpse of Miocic fight said nothing about Jones as a fighter
 
Aspinal is just the "next dangerous fighter who could finally take the ZERO from JBJ", nothing more....

Before Aspinal all the haters hung on Pav´s nuts, and before that on Gane´s and before that on on Nganners.

If Aspinal now would fight Gane, you know the he Gane who JBS exposed within 1rd, and Gane would beat Aspinal, the new argument would be "The whole HW Division is a Joke and this is why JBJ holding the title means absolutely nothing for his legacy"!

As good as Jones looked, it was partially Stipe looking so bad. He was a literal punching bag and barely threw anything.

Tom is young, big, strong and fast. He's also good on the ground. He won't just plod around and throw half hearted strikes. I could even see him shooting takedowns on Jones.

Jones looked slow and old himself in round 2 and 3. He had actually threw unlike Stipe. I'd lean towards Tom just because of his youth and speed but I wouldn't be super confident just because Tom hasn't been tested in the deep waters.

So what? Why does it matter how many fights he has? If youre going to coast on your past accomplishments, you should just retire.

Either Jon is ducking Tom or he's trying to negotiate in public. I guess we'll see in a few months which one it is.

If Jon beats Tom, he definitely should keep fighting because every other HW in the UFC's HW division would be an easy paycheck for him. Right now, Tom is really the only legit challenger in the UFC.

I think personally Tom is just that good tho. Ive been around for a long time and Ive seen generational talents splash on to the scene and its just different. When I first saw GSP, you just knew. Even when he lost to Hughes the first time, you knew.

I feel that same way about Tom. Might be wrong but the guy has looked really impressive. I think Tom will 1000% end up being the UFC HW GOAT, even tho that isn't a super high bar.
 
A lot of people project their feelings and desire for justice onto the sport. They also see life like an episode of Power Rangers where the good guys HAVE to win in the end.
 
Might be a bit of recency bias but honestly right now I feel like Aspinall won't be able to stop the takedown. On the other hand, Stipe was able to land a few glancing shots on Jones and Aspinall is much faster and more dynamic
