Do people really give Dricus a chance, or are they just hating on izzy?

Also Alex periera is amazing, and I like him a lot too. It's a shame it's a playstation/xbox type thing where people feel the need to pick a side.

My thoughts exactly. I can relate. Love him as a fighter. Also love Pereira. Social media stuff doesn’t matter to me.
 
Haha fair question TS. I think DDP gets slaughtered if the Izzy that was MW champ shows up. If the Izzy that lost to Strickland shows up, DDP might get his hand raised. Izzy KNOWS he has at least a few bitch slaps coming his way for his racist rant. Who knows where Izzy's head is at.

Speaking of Poatan, he took Izzy down. There goes that amazing tdd theory. Dricus by gnp rd 2.

I'm actually hyped up for the battle for Africa though.

Izzy was only 200lbs when he went up to fight Jan, he has no business in the division and had his chance at dual belts at someone that was lauded as a "weak champion" and was thoroughly trounced 49-46 across the board.

I agree that it's a waste of a fight for Poatan, who went on to do much bigger and better things, becoming possibly the largest draw in the UFC currently. I want to see him defend his belt until Tom/Jones drama is settled, then move up.

I think DDP could take down Izzy and just the threat of it (along with DDP's awkwardness) makes him a hard guy to fight. Izzy is also more questionable on the ground than Strickland...he and Poatan looked like a couple of early UFC kickboxers trying to grapple at times.

DDP has a way of making fights ugly. He did it to Whittaker and Sean, throwing off their gameplans and styles that usually work well. He will certainly try that against Izzy as well.

DDP has a shot I wpyld just put it as 25% I think if Izzys heads on right hes a 3 to 1 favorite. I'm rooting for him solely as I want that 3/5 Izzy Poatan fight which is easily the most exciting g fight in combat sports mma or boxing.

Otherwiae I would be rooting for Dricus as how Izzy handled the Poatan shit turned me off too much.
 
Dricus is like a +105/+110 underdog right now lol this is a coin flip fight bud.

Yeah of course he has a chance. The fact that he practically bullied Whittaker to the ground with that fugly takedown means that DDP is strong AF considering Whittaker has superb takedown defense. If DDP wins, expect it to look like the Belal vs Edwards 2 fight, except with a higher chance of a GNP finish.

Izzy has a good chance if Strickland was able to last 5 rounds and take it to a SD
 
I agree but I thought the same for Strickland and that fight has completely destroyed all logic for me

DDP ofc has a chance but I feel as if Izzy takes it.. and I'm not even a huge Izzy fan. Styles often make fights and Izzy just matches up really well with DDP.
 
I think DDP has a great potential as a champ

That might have been true in 2021, but Izzy has lost 3 times since then and there are several gameplans that could potentially beat him. That doesn't mean it's easy but it's possible. He's also 35 and didn't look good in his last fight. It may be that his physical and/ more mental games aren't what they used to be. We'll see.
