He tried but failed, ‘member?Wait, what? Adesanya isn't the one who changed weight classes afterward.

My thoughts exactly. I can relate. Love him as a fighter. Also love Pereira. Social media stuff doesn’t matter to me.I feel like izzy doesn't have a lot of fans on sherdog.
I just cant hate a guy who comes out and fights everyone he was a hell of a champion. he may have turned tail and ran a bit in some fights, but he always signs the contract, always shows up. Fights anyone, fights often. Nothing more I could ask of a champion.
I dont have Social media, all the things I hear people yap about him are fashion, his dog, or someother stuff. if it wasn't on ESPN or on a UFC Broadcast or programming, I literally do not care.
Also Alex periera is amazing, and I like him a lot too. It's a shame it's a playstation/xbox type thing where people feel the need to pick a side.
Izzy was only 200lbs when he went up to fight Jan, he has no business in the division and had his chance at dual belts at someone that was lauded as a "weak champion" and was thoroughly trounced 49-46 across the board.Waste of a fight for both. Poatan is 37 and really needs to manage his career and future fights well for his legacy. Another win over Izzy would mean very little. Also, he'd be a lot bigger fighter than Izzy at 205.
DDP has a shot I wpyld just put it as 25% I think if Izzys heads on right hes a 3 to 1 favorite. I'm rooting for him solely as I want that 3/5 Izzy Poatan fight which is easily the most exciting g fight in combat sports mma or boxing.DDP also took down Strickland more than once, and Sean is a very solid grappler with good TDD. He couldn't do much with the TDs, but it was probably enough to give him a slight edge on the judges scorecards for the fight.
I think DDP could take down Izzy and just the threat of it (along with DDP's awkwardness) makes him a hard guy to fight. Izzy is also more questionable on the ground than Strickland...he and Poatan looked like a couple of early UFC kickboxers trying to grapple at times.
DDP has a way of making fights ugly. He did it to Whittaker and Sean, throwing off their gameplans and styles that usually work well. He will certainly try that against Izzy as well.
He's not even a real Izzy fan.Rocky you're the only bearable Izzy fan on the forum.
Can never pick against destiny!
But he fought that unbeatable Jan guy....wait, the same who Poatan beat.He tried but failed, ‘member?
Seeing your av, I'd forgotten how Perreira was so much bigger than Jiri. That Strickland performance has a lot of people questioning where Izzy's head is at.
Izzy has a good chance if Strickland was able to last 5 rounds and take it to a SDI just not see any realistic way for dricus to beat Izzy here. Izzy has amazing TDD and has never been submitted. Izzy has perfect defence and is very elusive. And, of course, Dricus comes forward swinging wide open with his chin in the air, which is the perfect way to get yourself killed against a counter-puncher and sniper like Izzy.
That might have been true in 2021, but Izzy has lost 3 times since then and there are several gameplans that could potentially beat him. That doesn't mean it's easy but it's possible. He's also 35 and didn't look good in his last fight. It may be that his physical and/ more mental games aren't what they used to be. We'll see.On paper there is almost no way Dricius should win this.
You guys said the same thing about Whittaker. Some viewers are incapable of accounting for intangibles. All of which favour dricusOn paper there is almost no way Dricius should win this.
