Do people really give Dricus a chance, or are they just hating on izzy?

Even more of a reason. That was not Alex's WC so he was essentially winning despite fighting out of his WC. He was emaciating himself making that weight and arguably the reason that desperate haymaker had any effect.

DDP has already proved me wrong twice now. He's beaten two elite guys but looked sloppy doing it. I'm thinking Izzy will be the one to take advantage of his sloppines. Izzy also has a chip on his shoulder now and that's when he's at his best.
 
DDP has been an underdog for the last 3 fights or so. Stickland and Jan have shown how you can beat Adesanya without elite striking.

Izzy got a complete ass whipping from Strickland, DDP barley squeaked by but lost to Strickland as well.

This is a consolation fight for 2nd place
 
Izzy lost to Sean Strickland. DDP has a style similar to Stricklands. There's always a chance of Izzy winning because he is a bad mfer if he's zoned in, but DDP is no scrub & will land shots on Izzy & anything can happen in a fight. I hope Izzy wins because it opens up the idea of Izzy vs Khamzat potentially, & I'd love to see the lead up to that fight & the actual fight. But I'm definitely not counting DDP out.
 
I think Izzy will pick him apart from the outside, especially with low kicks. I just don’t see Dricus solving him. I guess it depends how he can bounce back from the Strickland fight and if Dricus is able to do the same thing to him.
 
Yes you are right, I don't see why we would bet on a fighter who is 7-0 in the UFC and even being an underdog wins his fights.
 
I'm expecting to see a hungry izzy who will make DDP look like a fool. But, if the izzy who fought strickland shows up, he will lose.

The fight is basically even odds on the betting line. If you're so sure Izzy is going to win, put some money on him.

I personally think it's insane that the fight is even odds, and largely agree that Izzy on paper should beat Dricus pretty easily.

Is this trolling? After dismantling Whittaker who was believed by many to do the same, and beating the same Sean that dominated Costa and Israel, you have to give the guy a decent chance against Izzy now. Isreal is the favourite by a small amount at the odds, which should where it ought to be.
 
Alex completely broke Izzy. DDP is going to walk Izzy down all fight and manhandle him. DDP has the strength, cardio, and power advantage. Izzy has accuracy, but that'll be useless when DDP just walks through is punches to deal bigger damage.

Rightfully so, along with cringey stuff like "I've never been more motivated to kill a man before". . . sounds like a line he rehearses in the mirror for courage.

Izzy was an excellent champ, so I know his head could be in the game, but since the Strickland loss (worse defeat than a KO imo), and considering what DDP has been doing to guys that either beat Izzy or that Izzy had trouble with, I think it's stupid to say that DDP doesn't have a chance.... and I remember people saying the same thing when DDP fought Bobby Knuckles and Dickland as well.
