How are war crimes commited by foreign agents in any shape or form similar to an insurrection?

When you got someone trying to coupe an election and pressing for immunity unlike any former presidents. It certainly is alarming. If Ben Shapiro can admit that, all of y’all should be able to.

Cmon bruh, just because it failed doesnt overwrite the intention behind it. If someone fails to kill another person several times, would you hold them in the same regard as someone that has never tried to kill another person? Fuck no, same case here.

A bunch of unarmed goofs running thru the halls of the capital isn't an insurrection. It had such a low chance of success that I don't see how anyone can genuinely take it seriously as one.

I do however have an issue with the government using it as an excuse to spy on US citizens, call for social media to censor them. Its really funny how the FBI got an increase in their budget during a period where local law enforcement was being defunded.

It was about as well planned as the Beer Hall Putsch and most coup attempts in history. Planning isn't really a strong suit for most people.

It isn’t an insurrection, then what were they doing there? Just having a public orgy?

Court documents, video evidence and news coverage directly contradict this characterization. Several rioters had firearms and dozens more wielded knives, bats and other real and makeshift weapons.
Also, your defunding the police claim, do you have a source for it? IIRC Biden dumped billions into that force.

But as you know, it was one part of a broader strategy. Trump and his team made up some story about the election being rigged, filed a bunch of frivolous lawsuits in hopes of landing a corrupt judge, put together slates of fake electors, called state officials asking them to "find" votes for him, etc. They also advanced a crazy legal theory and tried to use the mob of pressure Pence into going along with it.

Local law enforcement was facing budget crunches because of the massive recession, but Dems were fighting for federal aide to state and local gov'ts so they wouldn't have to cut funding, and they were mostly successful.

And obviously you're lying about the other stuff too.
