Ruwa Romman? She seems more tactful than others in the Free Palestine movement and I read the speech she was going to give, I guess it wasn't that bad though I can see why Democrats didn't want her to give it at the DNC(she conflates Israeli hostages with Palestinians in administrative detention). One issue is whether she would actually give the speech or go off script and make a scene that she feels helps her cause but embarrasses the Dems.

You didn't ask that question. I didn't see the speech you're referring to, but I'd guess that the organizers thought inviting the families of the captives would give good speeches that were helpful to their purpose, and they didn't have a Palestinian-American delegate that they thought that about.

The very fact that they were uncommitted delegates suggests they aren't party loyalists. Now generally I don't rate party loyalty in and of itself that highly but of course if you're looking to speak at the Democratic National Convention its going to matter.
