Well I do think Biden was an incredible president and if she mostly follows in his footsteps I would be happy with that and we're seeing an inkling of that with her coming out in favor of reinstating the expanded child tax credit.

But beyond that I wouldn't say she did nothing as VP. She was tasked with trying to deal with the root causes of migration by improving living standards in Central America and to that end she's gotten ~$5 billion pledged in public-private partnerships to invest in Central America. Unfortunately these kinds of things take time to bear fruit so it does remain to be seen what comes of it but I wouldn't say that's nothing.

I don't really trust Breaking Points tbh so idk how much stock I put into their takes. Its possible Kamala did something to contribute to the issue(her proposed subsidy for first time homebuyers would almost certainly raise prices if done before enough supply is added to the market) but to say she caused it strikes me as misleading and a form of scapegoating. The root issue is a lack of supply due to excessive local regulations from what I can tell so I don't think it makes sense to blame the VP for that.

And with all due respect, even if she had no "power" at all, no sane human would argue that being a vice president is a "worthless" accomplishment.
