Media DJ says paddy will be champion one day

Ever since retiring, then hanging out with Cejudo. This guy has said some really strange shit, imo.

I used to always like, and respect him. But, I’d prefer not to hear his opinions much anymore.
He's transitioned fully into the "Say really dumb shit to get attention" type content.

He was saying Moicano is a more dangerous fight for Islam than Tsarukyan. He's a fucking moron.

People said the exact same thing about O'Malley and he was able to become champ.

One thing I’ve noticed is that when it would really good for the UFC for a fighter to become champion, that fighter tends to become champion somehow.

That's exactly it. If the UFC views a fighter as profitable to the brand they will give them the necessary push to get to the belt.

I hope DJ is right, but I'm a little skeptical

I admit to originally thinking of Paddy as a joke, and he probably was, but sometimes fighters grow, and maybe, just maybe, some of the pros in the UFC saw it coming with Paddy before the average Sherbro did ? These guys fight for money, and some of them are better at the end game than others, just sayin. I hope it is a real entertaining war between he and Chandler, with the winner whomever he be getting a dramatic finish in the final round. I will drink to that !

DJ is actually annoying. Never noticed until he got into the podcast game.

Def won’t be a champion … but will climb the ranks due to cherry-picked matchups

No different then other company favorites though

And winnable fight against chandler can do huge things for him …

LW division has always been stacked. WW I think he gets overpowered but better luck there.
The LW division is about to go through a transitional stage where the old guard is starting to age and become battle worn. It's the perfect time for someone like Paddy to capitalise on the changing tide and with the correct match making and guidance from the UFC brass he could sneak his way into a title shot

i feel like this is one of those fights, where the universe knows michael chandler smokes paddy any day. but this is one of those fights where paddy will win somehow. and chandler will start this epic skid. just the way it goes.

He's not wrong.. yet for those on the couch to say otherwise, is odd at best. Let's see the opinion of a sherdogger who doesn't know what's he's talking about, vs the opinion of an ex fighter.. who many consider the GOAT?

Guys are aging out. He will make it to a title eliminator. The right matchup will have him fighting for the title.

Not being a troll, but Pimblett ain't exactly a spring chicken. He's already 30yo and hasn't fought, let alone beat a top 10, and he's only fought once a year since '22. Does a win over Chandler get him a title eliminator? If it comes that soon, I guess the UFC hasn't announced a fight for Tsarukyan who is 28 or Oliveira who is 35. So is the UFC hoping for a Pimblett win so they can announce a title eliminator with one of them? Between the 2, I can't see either being a good matchup for Pimblett.
