Bad fight IQ by Bobby Green. He literally walked into that submission.

Michael Chandler doesn't have the greatest fight IQ himself but his submission defense is good - Olivera fought him for 6.5 rounds and couldn't find a sub - and assuming his wrestling hasn't completely deteriorated, Paddy isn't going to be able to run through him.

Looking at it in slow motion, Green didn't shoot a takedown, he fell because of a leg kick.
Won't call this a fluke since Paddy strike is what made him fall and he did skillfully submit him once he had him, but still it feels a bit lucky as he was getting outstruck with no sign of making adjustement for the rest of the fight.

Chandler being the first to be able to go the five round distance against Charles even at his most washed makes me think he should win that fight, Paddy has got to have one of the most unimpressive 6 fights winning streak in the UFC ever.

Yeah, I agree, I didn't watch the fight live so can understand that take at the time, but watching it in the cold light of day, it's basically a stumble because of a little leg kick from Paddy.

It's very possible Chandler finds himself equally off-balance at some point, but I think he's more than good enough to get away from Paddy once or twice and keep the fight standing.

I like your read, Sherbro. The main concern for Chandler is if he goes off too hard at some point he can drain his energy much quicker than he otherwise would.

If it's in R3, I kinda fancy Paddy's chances a little more.
