I think Jones will eventually fight Tom, but he'll be juiced to the gills because it will be his last fight, so he doesn't care about suspensions or being stripped of the title.

He'll probably be in full eye-poke mode too, and may even cheat on several other ways. Maybe grabbing fence/trunks/gloves. He's going to dare that ref to disqualify him in his final fight and take all the heat from Dana and some fans.

Aspinall has publicly stated he will fight someone else but the UFC has told him to wait and they'll get Jones to agree. Nobody at HW has come forward saying they've been approached about a fight with Tom.

Jones wanted Stipe on his resume and then have one big super fight with Poatan (prior to him losing). He said he didn't care if it was for the title and UFC could strip him if they wanted.

Aspinall doesn't choose his own fights. The UFC brings options of opponents which he can accept or decline. Only...and you should read this part slowly...THEY AREN'T OFFERING HIM ANYONE ELSE. You repeating "he could fight other guys" doesn't make it true.

Tom was taken down multiple times by a smaller man in Austin. He was taken down within the first 30 seconds. He even was hip tossed twice in a row at one point all within the first 3 minutes of the fight and then held down for the remainder of the 1st rd. He then gets taken immediately starting the 2nd rd. Did you watch the fight?

And at 50% intensity when the entire point of their exchange was Tom trying to stop a takedown, that’s not a good sign at all. Either way I’m hoping should Jones and Tom fight their bout is entertaining.

Well, some posters say he will 100% fight Tom in November. He is just trolling everyone. We just have to wait 6 more months and enjoy the drama.

All of this talk puts him in a better position to get the best deal possible, so the ufc really has to scramble and go against protocol if they really want him to fight.

So it's prob reasonable to take everything with a grain of salt for a bit, until the theatre plays out.
