What you described was actually the complete opposite of luck. He was more well rounded than all of his opponents.
It’s more that once he was battered and worn he started to slow down, and putting him in there with guys who are juiced to the gills and 80 pounds heavier was a bad combination.
A body can only train and compete so long before it falls off. It's different for everybody...Fedor was a big bloated middle weight that didn't diet or cut weight. Watch all of his PRIDE fights. He has a small frame. Take that Fedor and put him in today's game and he's a 185 pounder. With that being said, once you watch his old fights, there's no denying that not only is he the hw GOAT, he's the open weight GOAT.
If you think Fedor in Strikeforce was still in his prime, you're mistaken. He was already out of his prime in AFFLICTION. Just look at his body and his reflexes. He literally aged 10 years in the matter of a couple years.

You don't think a 20 something year old Fedor in 2018, training in the states, dieting and cutting could make 185? We saw the likes of Wandy fighting in his 220's in the open weight Grand Prix.A body can only train and compete so long before it falls off. It's different for everybody...
Agreed, though.
Except for Fedor being a bloated up MW. Dude's core strength was off the charts. He's not a bloated up MW any more than Cormier is, or Igor for that matter.

He fought in pride. They were all on the juice.
Plus I don’t think Henderson had 80 lbs on him. Lol
Here are some very close calls where Fedor got very lucky that the other fighter wasn't well rounded enough in MMA that saved him
1. If Fujita was well rounded, he would've killed Fedor and finished right away!

2. If Randelman had any ground skills the results may had been different

3.Coleman had Fedor's back but no sub skills
But
Here is what happens when well rounded fighters fought Fedor

As soon as Fedor lost, he was out of his prime or just got lucky fighting guys who are either grapplers or strikers mostly? Be the judge honestly!
I'm pretty sure this had something to do with it back in the Pride days.Bigfoot actually was not on TRT for the Fedor fight so you are wrong there.
And Pride had juiced up "monsters" but they just were not very skilled.
Answer to question, absolutely!
They were all jacked
