Here are some very close calls where Fedor got very lucky that the other fighter wasn't well rounded enough in MMA that saved him
1. If Fujita was well rounded, he would've killed Fedor and finished right away!

2. If Randelman had any ground skills the results may had been different

3.Coleman had Fedor's back but no sub skills
But
Here is what happens when well rounded fighters fought Fedor

As soon as Fedor lost, he was out of his prime or just got lucky fighting guys who are either grapplers or strikers mostly? Be the judge honestly!

Short answer; yes
Long answer; absolutely

Shallow men believe in luck, strong men believe in cause and effect.

fedor created his own luck.

Talent, luck, courage, timing & likely a bit of pre-determined results as well.

It’s more that once he was battered and worn he started to slow down, and putting him in there with guys who are juiced to the gills and 80 pounds heavier was a bad combination.

Well IF Kalib Starnes had weighed an extra 50 lbs, acquired a well rounded skillset and developed the heart of a lion he might have beat and finished Fedor in his prime as well.
