Mickey is right. Also jump from green to yellow is pretty big. You may want some in between stock if you're not at the yellow yet.

Also you can go to office depot and buy some rods yourself of various specs and a cutter and make your own stock. This is what I did after my bag ran out...Plus a cutter is always usefull....after you u get a blue start cutting 1/4" at a time of it....go down to up to 4"....smaller lengths require a bit of different strengths....

I suggest you buy 2 and 2.5.....use the 2.5 for severe negs, 2 for forced closes,....u can use #1 for sets of singles throughout the day....
 
Yo Devil, what is your max bend? Right now I'm pretty close to a red but it'll probobly be at least a month before I can get it smoothly.
 
I did a cut blue down to 5...before i injured my wrist. I bend DU style. I dont seem to have the flexibility to bend DO style. I did a green DO with a horrible style. I know I am capable of Red and more but my technique is shit.

Devil, if your wrist heals and you can start doing DO you will be a beast. We need more benders on sherdog!
 
I would probably go with DU though. I just cant progress DO...that's what I started with but I cant seem to get my elbows high and tuck hands under the chin. If I do it that way I cant bend a wire hanger.....like I can get my hands in position but I got no power in that position....I am almost curious what it is....there are far smaller guys doing huge bends.....

I hoping to get to Grade 5 bolt or something DU sometime this year....then slowly move to Grade 8 and then Red. At my best I put a very tiny kink in red equivalent steel but with HRS not CRS which I got from Home Depot and cut to length.
 
The HRS at stores tends to be almost the CRS from IM anf FBBC. I actually keep my elbows below parallel and just push slightly up and in. But everyone is different and there is a amateur strongman I believe who does huge bends DU then finishes DO for the crush. He did a red, 290K challenge bar, and 280K challenge bar in the span of like 3 minutes on camera. If I find it I'll post it. Once I get a G8 pretty nicely I'll make my Saint Wilhelm's vid. With your strength you will definatly destroy some steel. Are you still dipping BW+200?
 
Yea pretty much....I havent dipped in a while with 1rm but judging by bench I am pretty close...

Yes Dave Oslend is a great DU bender. I got one of his vids on my desktop.
 
Holy crap a log with bending in it and I wasn't invited, for shame you guys.

I've got to get myself some red nails as I'm now bending 6" M8 bolts and should be going towards red status in a while.

I'm also thinking of buying from FBBC but think the shipping will be prohibitive.

BTW was there something about you wanting a new log title DS? Let me know and I'll change it for you.

I'm about 185 right now, and I took 400 mg caffeine + 325 mg aspirin this morning before my workout. I felt really, really jittery.

No idea, having a bitch of a time sourcing graded bolts round here. I bend DU for max work but I also do a fair bit of DO and I can do a 60d nail that way pretty happily.

It's up to you mate, people can call their logs pretty much anything.

I'm having trouble getting hold of the right size of steel rod, it's all the metrics system's fault, I've got a ton of 6mm (just under 1/4") and the next size up I've got is 8mm which is actually thicker than the IM red. No way I'm bending that any time soon. Hence the M8 bolts as the shaft diameter is a little over 7mm.

I also want some actual reds because I want to be sure I'm ready before I try to cert.
 
mschatz i would go with 4-5mg per kg for caffeine. I believe the studies I have seen used 5mg per kg. Definitely dont go beyond 6mg per kg. Also if u plan to take pseudo-E or Ephedrine on top i'd take slightly lower dosage of caffeine. However if you have not taken it before...I'd go with 200mg caffeine to start...i also seem to do well with 500mg of magnesium in the stack...and whatever you do dont accidently mix it up with something else and take triple the needed dosage...lmao....
