Devil's Minions Team-summer Squat Competition

I don't really suggest belts for high rep stuff... but smolov might be an exception. I'm going to try and not use my belt as much as possible if/when I go on it

I dont either, but IMO, smolov is a different beast, if only for the frequency that you are using. Squats 3 and 4x a week is ROUGH on the posterior chain...

I'd like to have a belt, for Smolov and one day, when I'm doing larger singles, and PR's of course. Man, I really shoot high, don't I?

Another quick question about Inzer belts, is the sizing based on waist sizes, like jeans, or somewhere else? Kind of stupid, but I don't wanna get the wrong one. They didn't really explain where the measurement is on the site, just what the sizes equal in inches, I presume.

Yes get a belt and learn to use it properly. Learn to push out effectively against it, how the belt moves on you as you go through the range of motion for the exercise, etc.

Go with the 13mm LEVER Inzer....you can cinch it tighter than just about any prong belt.....

I got a Large and I got a 34-35 inch waist (pants/jeans).....I have it on 2nd or 3rd notch from the inside so I am guessing I probably could have used a Medium with a setting on the outside...

as a sidenote the 10mm lever inzer or the tapered inzer might be better for deadlifts...I know I have a very hard time getting in position with the 13mm....10mm is not so bad from those who tried both...

DS, how much room is there to go inward? I couldn't really tell from the pictures how far the holes go around. I'm a 38 in jeans, which the site says would be an XL, but I think I should go with a 2x. I don't mind if it's a little big and I have to tighten in farther inwards. Seventy bucks is a lot of money to be unsure about for me. Thanks for your help.

If I end up getting a belt because of this comp I'll go with the 10 mm lever.. just because 10 mm is normally the cut off I see for allowed size of belts

No 13 mm is IPF legal. It is the cut off.

Dunno what this whole team thing is but right now Im at 425 looking to get to at least 465 by the start of next football season

although that's great....how is this relevant to this log? this is a competition from main S/P page that is stickied at the top...this log is dedicated to one of the teams from that challenge...

unfortunately you're a bit late to join...

Sorry not on here much and just stubled upon this, disregard my post and GL to you guys.

For a while I thought that was the Nuge, he was a true Minions supporter.

Maybe but this comp I'm thinking about competing in, in July. Says 10 is the cut off. It's the sunflower state games. Idk

2 days ago after working 21 hours straight:

185X5X5,

I'm going the +5 pounds per week thing and while last week was hellish, this week didn't seem all that bad weight wise.

Going on a week long camping trip and when I come back, the smolov will be waiting. Unflinching, painful.

good job guys. Keep up the hard work. Remember about recovery. Foam roller, Food(eat more quality calories), Full night of sleep(so at least 8 hours)...and supplements if you do(fish oil, creatine, beta alanine, multi vitamin, ZMA, B-vitamins, etc)

You guys are doing great! Once you're all ready to take it to the next level, check out the routine posted here. It's a gem!

*evil laugh*
