Deadlifts and milkshakes

Outside of Houston. Rosenburg area.

Cool, if you ever make your way over to Austin we have a couple if good gyms that are strength/performance oriented and that are equipped with all the platforms and bumper plates you could dream of.

Went for a 6 mile long hike with my dog. It was too long and my hip is not happy with my decision.

BW: 134

Noms:
Meal 1: mac+cheese, chicken, broccoli and a brownie
Meal 2: chinese buffet: glass of coke, broccoli + chicken, chicken on a stick, sushi, stuffed clams, roast pork, apple pie, ice cream, peanut ball things, sweet and sour chicken, etc.
Meal 3: wendys chicken sandwich, french fries and a coke
Then I fell asleep for 3 hours. BEST DAY EVER.

Question: Am I gaining weight too quickly? A female friend of mine suggested I aim to gain 1-2 pounds a week. I was 129 when I started project butch. 5 pounds already? Yikes.

She is actually. At first, I thought 2 pounds a week was a lot lol

It probably won't continue to jump like this I don't think, but who knows.
 
If you're worried get a rough estimate of what your target calorie intake looks like on the plate, then prepare some cleaner foods to eat for lunch and dinner or whatever. I like to make a roast beef and cut it into thick pieces, then get a bag of frozen vegetables and basically any carb source. My body is much happier when I do that instead of cramming McDonalds and chocolate milk. Of course once I start slacking and dont prepare meals I have to go back to eating anything and everything or I wont eat enough.

Notes: My hip hurt from the hike yesterday. Only pressing today. Got the log up for the first time. I wish I had time make a video to show the progression of my learning the form. The video is my last rep. The hardest part was pushing it up and not out.

Goon got me the Mark Bell "slingshot" and my first lifting belt. College gym is still closed, so I'll need to find somewhere to train this week to use all my new stuff. :)

I have no memory of every weighing this. I am sure I must have at one time, but I had to sweat to make 148 my first semester of high school, and could not do it the second semester.

Eat more, get stronger.

It's funny that the heaviest I've ever been is a weight you can't remember being lol

This putting on weight thing is really unpleasant. Every meal is actually kind of annoying because I am still full from the last meal. I think I could possibly be eating too many carbs and not enough protein still.

I'm really excited about having my own belt. The slingshot is cool but even though he got me the smallest size possible, my arms are still too small for it. I'll have to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath it or something. It did help me bang out a lot of push ups though!
 
It doesn't have to fit snug around your arms, I don't think. As long as you can pull it tight enough so that it doesn't slide down when you grab the bar, you should be fine.
 
Hurt my knee again in bed last night. Don't ask.

Feels possibly sprained again. :( and looks like my plan to squat after work is out the window. Blehhhhhhhhh :icon_neut
