BJJ (no-gi)
Skipped some classes the past few days and ate McDonald's instead. Let the guilt set in...now.
HUGE turnout today at the club today. Had 5 girls in total which is so incredibly awesome.
Long warm up - running, hip escapes, fireman drills, wheelbarrow, armbar from guard, triangle from guard.
A new girl came today who has been training at Tiger Schulman's or however you spell that. I didn't think it was possible, but she had a bit of a girl ego. Well deserved though, because she tapped all of us ladies. She passed my guard many times, mounted me, kept me in side control and tapped me three times. Pretty frustrating when I can't even tap a girl.
Second round was with a beginner and there were about four groups of people rolling on the same mat. Lousy instructor wasn't watching, someone got too close and nailed me in the head/ear with their foot. I lost my hearing for a few seconds and my breathing got really shallow. I almost fucking cried, you can't cry in jiu jitsu. I feel pretty down and frustrated. I am trying to keep jiu jitsu fun but today was just really hard! Progression is slow but I just gotta move on and learn from it.
