DDP and mature Khamzat are ridiculously strong, who is stronger?

As in pure relative strength, not "strength I can apply due to a better technique"?

DDP, obviously. VERY obviously. Borz *could* have more grip strength (freakishly big hands, too) but that's all. Well, plays a huge factor but that's all.

Unpopular opinion, but I don't think Usman was "weaker" than Khamzat in a gym bro way.

"As well as learning new techniques, Usman had to recalibrate his body. He needed to add to his brute strength – at the time, he was squatting 230kg and benching 165kg – to create the functional fitness of a complete fighter. ‘We still do a lot of deadlifts, and a lot of pulling and pushing, too,’ he says. ‘I’ve got to make sure I keep the strength.’

Probably as strong as Dricus, but Dricus obviously weighs more.

In an effective wrestling/grappling way of measuring strength in the way of strength + technique, I think Khamzat is strong enough to outwrestle/outgrapple him.

Luckily we get to find out for sure in about 2 weeks!

Kamaru Usman has a strong deadlift, having lifted 605lbs (274kg) in a powerlifting meet in 2023. He also squatted 512lbs (232kg) during the same event.

His deadlift came up from when I googled his deadlift, the squat and bench came up from a Men's Health article/interview with him.

Removed it since I couldn't find the source for his deadlift, only his bench and squat.

Do you think Usman isn't strong?

That whole article looks AI made and AI tends to spin up shit from nothing. If he deadlifted close to 300kg and squatted well over 200kg I should be able to find some better source than that of it. But if he did, that is mighty impressive.

Your question "Do you think Usman isn't strong?" is lazy

Where did I say I believed he wasn't strong? Fuck I hate when people do that. "OH so you don't believe this then!?" No...I never said any of that...

Look at the Men's Health article from March 2023, that's the article I quoted his squat and bench press from.

Since the Men's Health article has many direct quotes from Usman, it's most likely they got his squat and bench from him in that interview.

The first few quotes about his deadlift, which I now edited out, was from the Google/AI-summary I get whenever I google something on my phone, you're right about that part, hence why I now edited it out because I couldn't find the actual source.

Thanks for noticing!

My point in my first reply, about Usman likely not being weaker than Chimaev, should still be quite valid, even without the deadlift.

I thought Usman looked way stronger than Whittaker in their respective Khamzat-fights, just from how they defended the grappling assault and how hard Khamzat needed to work to drag them down and control them.

No need to be mad about my question, it's just the internet.

It's not like your first reply was the height of polite discourse either, and it seemed to mock the overall point I was making about Usman being as strong or stronger than Khamzat.

ddp has natural strength like george foreman

kahmzat has more manufactured explosive stength

that being said, the 1st round they are probably pretty equal in terms of relative 'strength' and this is where ddp will be most vulnerable.

ddp can carry his natural strength for 5 rounds. questions remain on kamzats ability to carry his explosive strength for 5 rounds.

kc really loses steam after about a round and a half and if he blows his wade in the first roound vs ddp ...its going to be a long night for him.

It sounds like you probably don't lift because what Usman allegedly has done is elite level powerlifting numbers. And he did that while training for fighting?

It's not just the internet.. I'm trying to communicate with another human and it's annoying when people I communicate with create straw man's..

1. I have lifted/am lifting, although started to focus on running this summer to improve cardio.

2. I also have many people around me who lift, among them a 41 year old natty accountant who also squats about 2.5x bodyweight, it's not unheard of and it's not enough to win high-level competitions.

1.5x bodyweight + in bench is obviously also very good, but in the context of actual powerlifters it's not as outrageous.
National record in Sweden for the 93kg class is more like 2.4x bodyweight, for context.

3. Wrestlers and professional athletes in general will tend to be physically stronger and more genetically gifted than average Joe's, especially since a fair few of them will have used "supplements".

4. If you're trying to communicate and want it to go as smoothly as possible, perhaps don't just start with mockery.
You could have asked for the source, which I provided in my next reply.

If I'm wrong, or get proven wrong, I will obviously admit it, hence why I deleted the deadlift claim since I couldn't find the source.

Jacked white boy deal with it.

Whitaker lacked teeth for years and had teeth injury before the fight.

Where was Khamzat's strenght against former lightweight Giblert Burns?

I agree though that he is strong af
