120 5x10

---Everything felt very flat tonight. I felt slow.

--Couldn't get any rhythm going in the bench so all my pauses sucked. Last set definitely felt the best but still pretty meh.

--Very hesitant on my pulling. That left hamstring is acting weird again and it makes it hard to lift with my usual aggressiveness.

--I tried to train a bit earlier than usual today which may have attributed to this over all dragginess. But I doubt it's the only cause. From what I gather I'll be lifting in the first flight as early as 930am Saturday. I'm so accustomed to training in the evening and such. So as these workouts get lighter I'm going to try and do them earlier in the day. Develop a better AM rhythm.

--One of my friends from up here is coming to the meet to act as a platform coach for me. I'm really appreciative of this. I've coached several athletes in Olympic meets and I really think a good, communicative, platform coach can make a huge difference on meet day.

Monday,

Benching:
145 1x3
175 2x3
205 2x2
218 4x1(paused)

1st, last set 218:

Deadlift:
270 1x3
325 2x2
375 4x2

First, last 375:

Kneeling strap crunch,
90# 5x8

---Back stuff. So I couldn't be more pleased and surprised by the quick recovery of my back. Felt near to 100%. On saturday I was cringing pulling my leg up into my truck. I did a bunch of that bat wing hanging and rolling. Some static stretching. I'm feeling much better about my DL coming in now.

--As for pulls tonight I was very hesitant on the first set worrying about potential back esplosion' or whatever but after that I tried to get moving. Felt strong.

---Bench was pretty smooth. I've been approaching these light workouts as practices more so than training sessions. So dialing way back on the intensity and just feeling for things to tighten up or focus on in approach or what have you. Not sure if that's an apt description. Anyways I'm enjoying them. Bummed I had to skip Friday's due to the back deal. But I'm sure it was the right decision.

---I'm feeling great about my bodyweight and the cut so far.

--172.4 this AM, 176 PM

---I have a very long day today so I decided to knock this quick session out in the early morning. Started at around 620AM. Felt great.

--Everything was smooth and strong. Of course it's light weight but I was surprised by how good bench felt. Like launching a damn catapult. Good things.

--BW was 171.8 at around 6am. I'm pretty pleased with that. Hoping to be under 71 tomorrow morning at 70 or under when I wake up on Friday. We shall see.

My body is ready.

I put a singlet on once in my life when I was in track. I said no freakin way. And stuck to the short short and a loser singlet top...

I will never get bored of Spiderman memes... That was a new one for me...

With my BW at under 172 this morning I feel really good about this small cut on Friday morning.

I also took some shameless pics tonight.
