Media Daniel Cormier defends the UFC regarding Francis Ngannou

Well, he works for the UFC and their default position on this question is "VERY", so yes.
Its good to know that these shills for the UFC has no integrity and will continue to throw everyone else under the bus so the UFC can rampage them over.

Casual viewer was been make up 95% of viewership according to my estimation so with this was have been said, typically they was forget 99 - 100% of context in historical so UFC can claim any narrative which was consider free agent.

Expect Ngannou his name to be ok in saying on broadcast now, but with aura of "is Bones Jon powerful enough on regard to #Battle so that he was to withstand the #BigBlackCombatant?" rather than praise for his sheer #Masculine nature.

you ok?

I think it was win/win for UFC

Francis gets embarassed ... "see ... not worth the money"

Francis basically beats the HW boxing champ in the eyes of the public: "see ... our fighters/champions are real"

Has Dana even said his name yet since the event?
That tells you all you need to know
He would be yapping about him non stop if true
Hw will probably come around soon, once Vince tells him too

lol a lot of stoners in this thread, the only reason ngannou got paid what he did was because saudi willing to throw unlimited blood money to put on the fight. If Ngannou were to co-promote with the promotion that Fury was signed under Fury would have took majority of the purse and ngannous wouldn't get paid much. Ngannou was not a draw coming into this, the draw in this fight was Fury fighting a UFC heavyweight champ. The PPV was even promoting Mike Tyson more than Ngannou. Lets not forget they offered him 8 mil in the UFC which is the highest of the current active roster even though hes not a draw.

So tldr without saudi blood money he probably make 2-3 mil at most for this fight.

Dana loves a company guy. The koolaid is sweet too! Must be stevia.

What a job - you say shit the org likes and they give you more opportunities. What a job.

Good news is there's more Saudi money coming - he'll prob make more than double that $10m (plus ppv) in his next fight! That is a tap that won't turn off any time soon and we get to see the fights!

Does DC think fans are stupid? The UFC publicly disparaged Francis. They said he’s not worth the money he asked for, they said he wouldn’t amount to anything without the UFC. Dana openly taunted Francis and basically told him his career is over. The UFC also pushed the narrative that Francis left to avoid Jon Jones.

DC said similar things in a less harsh way. DC said Ngannou needed to “bite the bullet” and return to the UFC. Said there’s not much opportunity for Francis without them. Now all of sudden people want to act like they’re proud of Ngannou and it’s a huge achievement for the sport. Even though they criticized and doubted Francis the entire time… It’s shameful.

That's not what he's saying. He's saying that Ngannou winning actually benefits MMA and thus the UFC. That is true, even if Dana as most people didn't think it was a good idea for Ngannou to box while being the UFC HW champ.

Honestly who cares, the Fury/Francis fight was surprising, but it sucked...it was a shit fight and neither guy did much of anything...period. Francis will get his payday for sure and good for him, but in 10-15 years who is going to be talking about him? He has no legacy in MMA as he left when he was just starting to get well known by casuals and he wont have one in boxing that is for sure. His sell ability is just not there the Fury/Ngannou card sold an estimated 100-150k which is very low for a Fury fight.

BTW everyone doubted Francis, even those who wanted him to win thought his chances were really really low. No one expected Fury to be breathing through the mouth by the 4th and no one expect Francis to be able to walk through anything Fury landed (that was most impressive to me).

Sure, I don't think anyone's disputing that. But the fact remains that the UFC could have gotten a big slice of that blood money if they let Francis do what conor did. They didn't, so they did what they were claiming Francis did: they fumbled the bag.

The UFC could probably have kept Francis if they gave him a raise and let him box Fury, and made a shitload of money in the process. They fucked up in pretty much the exact way Dana was saying Francis did.

Francis was right to leave, and the UFC was wrong to let him walk. After talking shit about Francis for a long time, now they're gonna act like they're happy for him. It's bullshit.

*frankis vs Fury was a sad PPV sales flop and then people say UFC fumbled the bag?

Nobody bought this PPV in the entire extended known universe. Frank got paid 10ish M instead of the alleged 100ish M that conrad got. "BUT BUT BUT BUT he'll make more money on his next fight thus UFc dropped bag." Actually what will probably happen is somebody will pay frankis a whole lot of money and then immediately regret it. He'll be like post pride pre bellator fedor just hopping out from promotion to potion with a bag of cash leaving a bankrupt company after bankrupt company in his destructive wake. The UFC knows better. They know its irreverent if frank wins 100 boxing fights in a row and gets called the goat if nobody bought these fights.

What makes you so sure frank's next boxing fight wont flop just like his first? People literally just said frank exposed boxing as a fake sport then under the same breath said ppl will pay to see him now that they know he's legit. Why would people get paid to see something that u just said got exposed as fake to them? You can't have it both ways. My prediction is frank's next fight will sell slightly better than the last but still flop. What bag did the ufc fumble for not being dumb enough to be the sucker that throws money into the no returns fire pit known as francis nnganu's boxing purse? UFC Wins 10 to zero even if frank wins his next 10 boxing fights in a row n gets called goat... if he leaves a trail of bankrupted promotions in his wake. If that happens frank wins for making all that cash and the UFC also wins for not being the sucker that went bankrupt paying frankis that cash.

Judging by all the spelling errors, this has to be Dana's Sherdog account.

The shills are starting to be told to damper in Ngannou's success.

where besides intentionally calling him frankis and leaving out a ' or 2 here or there to save typing time? Oh right.. there is not 1 single red squiggly line under a single word that isn't a fake word i made up. Nice deflection to the frank shills getting 10-7ed tho. It will be a 10-0 When frank's next fight in December has nobody watching it whatsoever except people on the high seas yet again and a 10 to negative 10 when a fury rematch also flops.

Relax tho. I said Frank won too. Frank wins for robbing the people dumb enough to pay him for a for sure to flop PPV card and the UFc also wins for not being the sucker that got scammed. Frank has already pretty much laid PFL out shadow realmed dead after people inventment dumped into PFL under false pretenses that they had some decent incoming HW talent and now Frank probably won't hold up his end by fighting for them like he promised. Which poor bastard will be frank's next victim?

Dave Meltzer was the guy that broke the news about the terrible PPV buys, right?

I'm struggling to find his article where he said "it wasn't about PPV buys". Did ol' Dave delete it?

I dunno if you can help or not, I just wondered what he had to say pre-fight.

not sure. i saw a thumbnail of the chael video that said fury vs frankis was a PPV sales flop. I didnt watch the video but uncle peace has never lied or been wrong in the history of humanity so when he says it was a PPV sales flop i have no reason to believe hes not wrong

Yeah I'm not really sure either.

But I'm going to assume it was a PPV sales flop given the time/price in the US.

What might not be a flop is Francis' next fight, as the boxing world is kinda in a buzz at the minute.

We'll see.

my personal prediction is it will do slightly better than his last fight but still nothing great at all. For 1 it wont be against tyson and anybody who has a chance of buying it probably thinks francis won, thus think frank's next fight is pointless if it's not against tyson. They're gonna be thinking "So why should i pay to see frankis vs Not tyson?" It almost certainly wont be wilder or joshua either in december so who is gonna pay 80 bucks to 100 bucks to watch frank vs Not tyson wilder or joshua? The answer is nobody except the rare endangered pure bred pay pigs that's who. The boxing world may be in a buzz about frankis right now as you said tho.. too bad the boxing world consists of eleventeen people. I could be wrong and all frankis fights are blockbusters from here on out but its 2023 and nobody wants to drop $14 matinee price to be disappointed for a movie ticket anymore let alone 80-100 bucks for a sport nobody has cared about for years.

I hope they sell well. we need this shakeup
