Dana's pettiness is the only thing standing in the way of Jones vs Ngannou

Mixed rules in the PFL according to Francis, the PFL president, and Wilders manager. Wilder's been training MMA for 2 months now according to them. I watched Ariels show today, they also said it will probably be in Africa or somewhere like that when it happens.
Blew my mind to hear as well. Deontay's been training MMA, wow.

We'll see. If they ever cross promote feel free to tell me I was wrong but I'm very confident they'll never cross promote with PFL for a Francis Vs Jones fight.

If it doesn't happen Dana is solely to blame. Surely all the shareholders want the biggest fight to happen. Vince McMahon never had to play that petty bullshit and set up the money matchups.

Well Vince never co-promoted with WCW until he was able to buy them out did he?

Anyone who defends that wife slapper at this point has no respect and are goofs just like Dana. Maybe someone from higher up will finally ask Dana wtf is he doing and why.
How dare you bad mouth Dana?? He takes time out of his busy week to give us Fuck It Fridays, he allows John Morgan to be first with the lame questions and Dana has given us power slap which will be in Olympics by 2048, claims to be a great gambler while hundred of thousands of other degenerates lose their life, family etc etc

Dana is the gift that keeps giving.

I love Dana that POS scumbag and his downfall will be glorious!!!!

So it was just remarkably coincidental that Jones was ready to fight after some 2 years of inactivity the moment ngannou was released from ufc?
Not sure what you think coincidence means, but they were trying to make Jones/Ngannou, and Francis is the one who said no, so they replaced him with Gane as Jones' opponent. It's a not "coincidence" when 1 guy leaves for the other guy to not leave too and take a replacement opponent. Jon said yes, Francis said no.

He sure scooped up a lot of their talent. The UFC and PFL are both under Disney, there's no reason to be petty in this scenario. If the fight doesn't happen it's on Dana.

This is the same guy who has publicly compared himself favorably to boxing and said he puts together the biggest fights. Well weve seen Crawford v Spence. Davis v Garcia. Benavidez v Plante. We are going to see Fury v Usyk. He's putting ego over business.

Lol what? You are saying the complete opposite of what happened. Jones is the one who turned the fight down. They made the Gane fight because Jones couldn't come to terms with the UFC.

The narrative shift is hilarious. Dana was publicly bashing Jones back then.

The UFC aren't under Disney, they have a broadcast deal with Disney but the company that owns them is a different entity to the one that owns PFL.

I'm sure Dana doesn't want to do it, but I'm also sure Ari Emanuel, Hunter Campbell etc don't want to do it either.

Nah Jones being injured and imo not wanting that fight at all are also standing in the way of it happening.

Francis already signed to pfl. You can't actually say the UFC should co promote.
Only pfl employees and owners would wanna co promote with the UFC.
That's a core value of the UFC, be the main org and don't let other orgs get any of your shine. They don't need other organizations
When they were number 2 they begged pride for co promotion.

Those arent values, its an anti value, greed and ego. Plus in business in unethical to want to corner the market that way. Remind you they were going full stop towards a monopoly.

Ngannou won't ever come back to UFC again after he saw a boxing money.

You think the UFC should help make other organizations big ? For what. Co promote my ass. They are dominating.

That isn't exactly ambiguous. He said he wanted the fight and asked for more money, and they said no and gave him Gane, then agreed to more money to get Jones on board, offered Francis even more and he said no and left, so Gane got another title shot.

They don't want to legitimise the competition. Frank beating Jones and then going back to PFL would be a disaster for them.
I don’t know if this is true. UFC is so far ahead in terms of roster quality, production, marketing, etc. from top to bottom. Fans aren’t just gonna stop watching ufc and start watching pfl just because Ngannou beat JBJ.

Nah, Jones would never take that fight. Or does anyone really believe it's a coincidence that Jones decided to fight at HW the second Francis was gone? He's been talking about it for a decade - why does it only happen when Francis is gone? Why does he only want to fight old man, not training anymore Stipe? He won't even fight the interim title winner. He ONLY wants Stipe.

Jones could have fought Francis at any point. He didn't. He chose not to.

I'm not defending Dana's pettiness here, but Dana is NOT the only obstacle to making this fight.

I'm not sure if there is a slower, more smooth brained group in the mma community than those that think Jones would fight Francis for less than 100 million

Dana gets all the blame and none of the credit from fans. he's the end all be all God of UFC in one sentence and then the next he never did shit and was just along for the ride.

Fact is he doesnt own the ufc, he has bosses, if they wanted to give fighters 50 percent of the rev, insurance for family, co promote, do massive spectacle walkins etc they would cause they can.
This is exactly what came to post. There is a Board of Directors he has to answer to. Does anyone consider the simple possibility that maybe Ngannou's demands priced himself out of the UFC after the board reviewed it and were like nah...? He was asking for a ton of shit. People make Dana out to be Promoter, Owner, Negotiator, Accountant, Lawyer.. and the guy who just got lucky and doesn't do shit. When Dana is more like the person with thick enough skin to relay those tough decisions to the public and the fighters. I am sure if someone asks for 30 million+ that decision comes down to more than just Dana.
