Dana's pettiness is the only thing standing in the way of Jones vs Ngannou

You think it's a bad business decision to not risk delegitimizing their champs? He let Conor box and Conor fought 4 times in the six years since, and lost 3 of them. The best case scenario is Jones steamrolls Francis and PFL gets half the money and the most viewers they've ever had, at the risk of their champ losing and the guy who beat him going back to another org who just got 10x their normal viewers. A massive risk with no reward doesn't sound like a great decision.

They'd still rather it be against Stipe. I don't think this is just Dana. The UFC as a whole is very against co-promotion and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Both guys are retiring after their next fight regardless. Dana is giving up the opportunity to do a once in a lifetime fight and make a lot more money.

If Ngannou comes back, Jones will go back to his cave. Have you guys forgotten how it was? Ngannou was there for 3 years and Jones was on twitter talking about "show me the money" and not fighting anyone. 3 fucking years. As soon as Ngannou left because they wouldn't let him box, Jones came out from under the bed to fight. As soon as it happened lol. His idiot fangirls all saying that Ngannou ran from him when we were all there when Ngannou waited 3 years for him to man up, when we all knew when his contract with UFC was going to end and at the end of 2022 and he was finally going to be free.

Now he is talking about "having only one more fight". No way in hell you could possibly make him fight Ngannou. No way. Jones takes care of his record way too much. It's over. Just accept it's not happening.

I mean look at this whole Jones vs Stipe thing. He is not going to come back to face the champ, he is going to come back in a year to face that fossil. They won't even let Stipe fight Pavlovich for the belt. They have no faith that he is still good enough for that. The could make a star of Aspinall feeding Stipe to him but they will save it for another year so that Jones can fight him. The only explanation for it is that Jones have tolf them that he is not fighting those guys. Just Stipe and then he is gone.

Pretty much, Jon tried to score some PR points for his dumber fanboys and lovers of UFC hype claiming he wanted to fight Francis when he knew he was leaving after having deliberately priced him out of fighting him previously.

Its really fucking plane as day what happened, Jon saw Stipe beating Cormier the 3rd time and thought stepping up to fight him was easier than rematching Reyes but Francis then became champ looking like a monster and Jones wanted none of him and sat out for 3 years until he was gone.

They delegitimized their title when they chose to let their champion walk. And Jones is retiring, there's no future risk. Regardless of what happens they are going to have Pavlovich, Aspinall and Gane duking it out to see who is the future of heavyweight.

The problem is that Dana can't make Jones fight unless it's for a big paycheck.

So it will never happen sadly.

Francis didn’t want to be in the ufc, he did everything he could to avoid the trilogy with Stipe and then jumped ship soon as he heard jones was moving up.

The guy is a fraud but amazingly has tricked people into thinking he’s the peoples champ now despite landing six punches in the last two rounds of a fight where he only had about two seconds of success and gassed after round four lol

Stars aligning
Jones injury
Francis now worthy of what he was asking UFC for
Francis won but not officially so he wont be on a pedestal and willing to still fight jones

Nah, daddy Dana doesn't need those kind of fights. He doesn't even need Conor anymore let alone Magumbo

Dana's pettiness is the most important thing in the world to him. He's not capable of being the bigger man, not even for money.
Yes unlike mortals like you, the Great Dana thinks there are more important things than money in this life
Dana bless

He's not a slave, they can't force him to stay, so they got a bigger draw to come in and wipe the floor with the guy he went life and death with.

Why would they just hand a smaller org their viewers by co promoting with them?

The UFC should definitely do some cross-promotion. Ngannou is more popular than Jon Jones has ever been and the UFC has done cross-promotion in the past.

Dana should view Jon Jones as a weapon to destroy Ngannou and his high stock.
But he won't take that gamble.

Also the idiots continuing Jon "ducked".
50% Ngannou Ducked...50% Jones ducked.
Jones mauls Gane = Ngannou ducked.
Big Frank beating HW Boxing champ= Jones ducked.
Can everyone realize they both wanted the fight and to be handsomely paid...it was a fair ask ya know...but UFC wanted to penny pinch.

TS doesn't seem to realize that Jones doesn't want to fight Francis. Jones has been very particular about the matchups he'll take at HW; he waited until Francis was leaving before making the move, and has made it clear he only wants to fight Gane (whom Jones called the "most incomplete" top HW) and Stipe (who's retired and hasn't won in 3 years).
