Dana's excuse for not letting GSP fight for the title at 155 shows he hates GSP

Gsp didn't hold up the belt, he held up the whole middleweight division

Georges is the GOAT and Dana knows it. He's playing the same game as always. He will bend over for GSP like he did with GSP vs Bisping. Batroc the leaper leaps in line and gets whatever title shot he wants.

GSP won 12 fights in a row against top 3 opponents. He cleaned up the sport by demanding additional testing. He sells PPV's by the boatload and has never thrown a dolly through a window. Dana will do as he says but he'll kick and scream along the way like always.

Problem is he never thrown a dolly through a window and he is not taking pics with porn sluts on IG.
GSP really needs to man up! If you want a money fight in 2018 you better act like a clown and do it public, that being a nice guy and gentleman is so old.

GSP is a cherry picking fraud. Dana was right to call him out on that.

Lol. GSP fought anyone and everyone put in front of him for 10 years and dominated them all for the most part. He then retired and came back to win the title in the next weight class up after being out of action for 4 or 5 years, he didn't do it because he needed money, he did it because he wanted too.

If anyone deserves to cherry pick and fight whoever he wants it's the guy that was a consimet professional and company man for 10 years and only comes back to fight because he feels like it and can help the company make money.

GSP holds all the cards here, he doesn't need the money and doesn't need to fight. The UFC however desperately needs guys who can sell a shit ton of ppvs right now.

Wrong again. So now that it's clear you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, we can just move on and ignore any more stupid shit you might have to say.

Ok, let me explain it to you simplified, so you can understand. Le gsp and Bisping held up the middleweight division for a year with their antics, and a fight nobody wanted to see. It was just a cashgrab. Sorry your manlet pointfighter isn't as transparent and honest as true goat Fedor

Yeah, that's what I thought, you're retarded.

Bisping held up the division. You guys should be thanking GSP for smashing him, then immediately vacating the belt so as not to hold up the division any longer.

Also, lot's of people wanted to see that fight. I'd wager GSP haters were salivating at the mouth at the thought he might lose to Bisping, so they could gloat about it.

Remind me how many buys that PPV did again? And how many buys they've done with the cards since then? Yeah, no one wanted to see that fight.............

The GSP-Bisping fight was a fight nobody wanted to see? It was one of the biggest selling PPV's they have had in years.
Overall GSP haters fall into a special kind of class and it's not a flattering one.

I dont understand the hype around Dana white. Does the company really need that guy? I know he's very experienced, but would it really hurt that much if they found a replacement? The guy isnt liked much but the media or fighters.

If the UFC goes with a GSP - McGregor fight at a catchweight like say 160, they can get the big $$$ event and leave the 155 division intact for the guys who will actually fight regularly and defend titles. If Conor loses to GSP, the UFC still has a bankable commodity because they can say McGregor had the balls to fight a GOAT who held belts at heavier weight classes (170 & 185). So the UFC can still have McGregor fight top people at 155 like Khabib, Ferguson, rematches with Poirier and Alvarez, Kevin Lee, etc after fighting GSP. My guess is that McGregor doesn't want the grind of defending a belt or he would have defended a belt already. Now he has lots of $$$ from his Mayweather circus fight and he can pick and choose what he does. Trilogy vs. Nate is a safe payday. Super fight vs. GSP is a big payday that he probably loses, but it doesn't hurt his stock. He probably waits for the best at 155 to beat each other up a little more plus have more trouble cutting to 155 and then swoops in for the title shot. Khabib is a bad matchup unless McGregor gets the early KO. If not, McGregor gets absolutely mauled and his stock goes down. Khabib's top game is no joke and Conor would have no answer especially with his crappy gas tank...

This 155 division is absolutely stacked, but the big wild card for this division is making weight and how much impact the cut has on fight night performance. A lot of the top guys cut a lot of weight to make 155 and it becomes a real health issue. RDA almost died cutting weight late in his run at 155 and I'm convinced he was simply too drained against Alvarez and Alvarez simply fought RDA at the right time. RDA was like his old self again when he moved up to 170.

I’d have no problem with GSP fighting for the LW title.

However, if he won, and then “retired” again, it’d be another ruined division with a paper title.

It’d be better to just let GSP fight Conor at a CW of 160 or 165.

He cleaned it out by winning a controversial decision against Hendricks in which he arguably lost and then retiring instead of giving Hendricks a rematch?

Lol

The division was already cleared like half a decade before the Hendricks fight. Hendricks was still irrelevant back when GSP had already cleared out a stacked 170lbs divion as well as taking out the 155lbs Champion/GOAT at the time twice.

LMAO - did Dana actually say that?

oh, but TJ was going to get a title shot at 125, despite zero fights there? fucking hypocrite.

in any case, if GSP wants that fight...he WILL get it. Dana is too desperate for PPV numbers to deny GSP what he wants. He will bend over for him again, the way he did despite claiming the Bisping-GSP "ship has sailed"...and the way he does for Conor, Jones ('will never headline again'), cheating Brock, and anyone else who can sell PPVs.

Maybe they should let GSP beat Heath Herring then he will definitely be worthy of a title shot...but only after coming off of a loss of course.

He's abandoned two titles in a row after he gave his word? Why would he create another headache for himself to sort out? No one cares about this imaginary GOAT nonsense other than on here

He hasn't fought at 155 so he can't fight for the belt? FOH tell that to Frankie Edgar coming off a loss

The truth is he knows GSP will win, which will make him a 3 division champ and cement him as the GOAT. Dana doesn't want GSP to be known as the Goat. And he prolly won't fight whoever Dana says next so that's why he doesn't like GSP

GSP is over being Dana's bitch. He fights money fights, big fights...he's not doing this gladiator gauntlet shit of keep fighting the next guy.

been there, done that
This is coming from a fan of gsp, but who the fuck wants him fighting for the title at 155?

It’s crazy how much Conor gets hated for not defending titles, but let’s have gsp move to middleweight, win a title and vacate it, and then move to 155, win a title and vacate it?

These divisions have been a mess over the last few years, ESP lightweight. Let’s restore some order to this division and not hold it up for another year n a half strictly to stroke gsp’s ego.

Considering Khabib is a big LW and GSP has never cut that much weight the advantage would be in Khabib's favor. Not to mention GSP's legacy is set. At this point Khabib needs GSP alot more than GSP needs Khabib

Khabib's striking is terrible even when his opponent is worried about a TD. GSP wouldn't have that fear.
