Think I favour Hwang in this one.
He looks very small though for the division and Currie's quite big and strong, isn't he?

He is but I think his TDD is pretty good and on the feet he should be picking Currie apart. He does get cage pushed a bit sometimes which is my main concern, him just spending too much time with his back there, but if Currie uses that tactic it's not gonna get him a contract and you'd assume he knows that.
I think it paddy gets a win in Rome next week he’ll get a shot on DWCS. But yes in general I don’t get the DWCS guys. Lots of random or underwhelming talent and not who I’d consider a lot of top prospects. Maybe they’re staying away from 10/10 oppysI was not expecting them to bring back Will Currie. He didn't look good last year, and he won one decision in CW in the meantime, without it being spectacular
I would have preferred Paddy McCorry in the same region, or Virgil Augen if you extend it a bit

If you're someone who follows prospects on the regionals and don't think they've got some good ones on here with Yakhayev, Susurkaev, Ticoto, Foro, Barbir, Delano, Diaz, Cezary, Puas etc then I'm not sure who you're expecting.

Only 5 of the last 100 fighters signed off DWCS are currently ranked which speaks for itself.
DWCS has not been churning out quality talent in recent years and honestly this years crop of fighters looks like it somehow may be even worse.
Do you watch any regionals MMA?
I think this is the best crop they've had so far.
I look into 40-50 regional fighters every week for betting.
Which ones?
I don't see any of the currently announced male fighters making the UFC rankings.
You don't see Yakhayev or Susurkaev making the rankings?
Susurkaev is one of these guys who is always an enormous favorite and looks great beating up small guys but if you look closely his skills are not actually very deep. Give Susurkaev a gritty journeyman with an unimpressive record but size parity and cardio and he will fold very quickly.
There is absolutely no chance he ever sniffs a ranking.
I was skeptical about Mangos, 21 yo 7-0 Australian FW
I thought it was padding, but not at all
The guy has beaten a 13-5 vet as a 3-0 20 yo by R3 submission, a 8-2 guy at 4-0 by R2 RNC, a 10-2 Japanese vet at 5-0 by R1 KO

Alik Lorenz has looked pretty good in the fights I've seen of his. He's fighting Abdulrakhman Yakhyaev.
