“He’s not the first and he’s definitely not the last.”
It is a business. They cant just keep people on payroll. Im sure he can make money training people. He has a name.
To be fair, he said more than that. I know you couldn't fit it all in the title of course.
He's also not wrong. It's an unfortunate part of the sport but we all tune in for the violence. How many times has a fighter been mocked for getting KO'd? Hell, we used to have huge shoop threads for that. Us fans ourselves can be pretty ruthless and insensitive when it comes to the real life trauma that fighters face.
Still, I hope that some advancements can be made on brain injury studies and people like Spencer can get help.
It is part of the gig, but it's such a new sport that there haven't been a lot of cases. Now a lot of known fighters are in their 40's and 50's and a lot of the sad health stuff will surface more.
Hear the whole thing before talk shit
If I'm understanding the article this is referring to correctly, he's barely competent. Highly doubt he's capable of verbalizing and communicating enough to run a gym or team.
Fisher did it to himself, no sympathy from me. Boxing has been around long enough that fighters should know what happens if you get hit in the head too much.
He's just saying that it's something that happens in the sport. Everyone is glossing over the part where he says that it is something they are aware of and have invested in research.
Even the fact that, after retiring, the UFC offered Fisher job where he does not do anything and made $5000 a month. It was the new ownership that put an end to that, not Dana.
There was nothing wrong with what Dana said and you guys are just looking for something to cry about.
What's he supposed to say? Obviously, he feels bad but he's saying that it is something every one knows happens and they have research into it.
I don't understand what else he was supposed to say. What he said is fact and I don't like Dana at all....
Dana is a piece of shit. But we already knew that
Its true it's part of the game. Why is everyone acting so surprised now? Y'all never seen Mohammed Ali?
Alright I will
Fuck Dana White
He isn't wrong. I don't think anyone is under the delusion that getting hit in the head for a living over a number of years has no health consequences
He's right, but he shouldn't put it that bluntly
i mean.. he isnt wrong. fighters know the risks.
but let all these dorks come in trying to get easy likes with anti-dana posts as usual, so boring lmao.
Separate names with a comma.
