custom winning gear.

Thank you! I'm more than happy with it. American-Ya is a great shop, and I'm already planning out my next glove buy... I can't wait for sparring tomorrow :icon_chee

Green is an excellent choice of colour!

Hy Guys,
What do you think about to use Winning gloves for mitt work?
Of course we all know that they are great for sparring but i just try them for a mitt session and i'm a kind of perplex... Due to the softness of the gloves, we dont get a nice "pop" noise when we connect the mitt, at least no as noisy as we get with latex gloves...
Mitt work is not that traumatic for the hand, so i'm thinking if i will keep using the winning or switch with my Grant...
Let me know what you think guys, thanks

The question is: why do you need the "pop"? If it was a heavy metal there would be no question of course.
But pop?!
No, seriously, Winning are great on mitts, but if want the sound of latex padding, then use Grant, Reyes, Rival etc.

I myself enjoy the pop lets me know when im throwing my punches 100% correct, and not lazy off target punches.

Shihtzu is correct too though, winning is great in both situations. I personally enjoy my Reyes on Mitts.

Reyes certainly provide a lot more feedback, but for extensive use I would go with Winnings, no doubt. Reyes are excellent gloves, but I would not recommend them as the only or the main pair.

I use my 10oz velcro winning for mitt work and it works great.

Hey I'm wondering if anyone here can give me some buying advice and a question for ordering custom winning gloves. The question is: "Can I order a pair or Winning 16oz Velcro gloves and have them modify the velcro closure so that they tighten up just like the Rival RS11V-Evolution gloves?" If this can be done for the usual $100 or so custom fee, I think that this would be so worth it, plus it will fix the typical 'no wrist support for velcro enclosures' problem that many face.

If anyone here knows if this is possible or how to find out it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah sorry I'm not the best at this sort of stuff, but the same question stands. I think a lot of people are familiar with or at least have seen the Rival gloves I'm referring to.

I think it may be possible for them to do it at extra cost but chances are they won't do it the proper way...also...there's the possibility they won't do it just because they figure their own velcro is better...however...for enough money, people will do almost anything.

Who would I have to contact to get my gloves done that way. I'm guessing they won't do it off the Rakuten website if I order custom gloves. I just don't know how to go about getting this done.

Contact Mr kazumichi from winning usa but honestly...if he would do it, so would rakuten's steve mitani. Rakuten is a legit winning distributor...go for it man.

Does anyone know the contact information or email address for steve mitani?
