South Africa most cases, 3200Has there been any cases in Africa yet?

Most cases that are detected never deal with the hospital and are thus never "cleared." They get well again without that fact being registered anywhere. So the "closed cases" stats, especially in countries that do a lot of testing, show a picture that is very different from reality.Apologies if this has already come up, but what’s going on in the Netherlands? 3751 deaths but only 250 recovered? That has to be a typo, no?
Similar results in Ireland, Sweden, and Norway for closed cases - 88.8%, 74.2%, and 84.2%, respectively have resolved cases ending in death.
Getting this from worldometers.info.
It would be great. Its sadly most likely the weekend lag still.Thankfully, we are only at about 5K for the daily death toll today...
crossing fingers hoping this trend continues.
It also hit Africa later so this might just be the start. Now South Africa has very strict guidelines.South Africa most cases, 3200
Morocco not far behind
Algeria most deaths, 400
To be honest, thankfully it's not affecting Africa

The CDC only has ~10,000 employees nationwide. And most of them are engaged in more important tasks than guarding a nursing home. Do you think they have a jackbooted law enforcement division?Have the CDC take over all nursing homes.
I say do whatever it takes to protect the elderly and compromised. And that enables alot of the country to open up.
Jesus is my vaccine
This jackass is stoking the flames for personal gain. Philly is gonna be the next hot spot with or without these rallies, but he's certainly not helping.
Coronavirus update: Pa. sees highest daily increase in deaths as state investigates older cases

These people are evil. The company(owned by China BTW) is blaming their immigrant labor and not their refusal to shut down even as people were getting sick. 725 corona cases! South dakota never had a shut down order.

Well what is it you want the CDC here to do here? Guard the doors so no one gets in (or out)? You're imagining them as surrogate prison guards. You want them to expand their workforce with mall cops?A jackbooted law enforcement division to look after a nursing home?
This a nursing home in Compton?
Hire more employees. A few employees at each nursing home to test other employees daily. It really can be done. Unless you just wanna say fuck it let them die
CNBC just reported that coronavirus antibody testing shows LA County outbreak is up to 55 times bigger than reported cases, estimating that between 221,000 adults to 442,000 adults in the county have had the infection.
The midpoint between those two numbers is 331,500. Current death toll in L.A. County is 600.
Using these numbers gives us:
Case-fatality-rate = 600/331,500 * 100 = 0.18%
Using the upper case figure of 442,000 gives:
Case-fatality-rate = 600/442,000*100 = 0.14%
This goes a long way to explaining the soft landing of this virus in less populated areas OR less population dense areas. I wouldn't be surprised if I have antibodies for the virus.
