Conor's stock is in the shitter, because it will be a haaaaaard cut to 145, and Frankie is there waiting for him. Conor will be in no condition to fight Frankie Edgar if he needs to drop 25 pounds to get on the scales. If he stays at 155, he will be lucky to beat anyone in the top 5. From what we saw tonight, Conor would have been instantly incinerated by RDA. He is not a top 20 fighter at WW. Conor is now irrelevant.
 
I wrested in middle school and look better on the ground than Conor.
 
McGregors power and chin definitely does not translate that well. He didn't fight a welterweight in there, he fought a lightweight.

Overrated for welterweight, or is his power fake at featherweight now too?

All those ko wins were fake or pure luck? Maybe Aldo, Porier and mendes got paid off to make him look like he hits hard. Yeah, that's probably it.

While he is at it, should he retire now too, because he lost?

I wouldn't say fantastic. He looked above average in round 1, then got fucked.

Also Nate took it on 11 (eleven) days notice. Conor just got his ass whooped tbh.
 
It does fall in the eyes of mma fans though. The tape is out there of him getting rocked repeatedly and flopping around like a fish better getting tapped up by a guy who didn't even have a 2:1 ratio in wins to losses.
 
Conor did look amazing in that first round. Very few people could dominate diaz like that. He looked like the p4p king. Had Diaz not caught him (and then capitalized brilliantly), conor would probably have picked him apart and got a 3rd or 4th round tko. Conor needs to remember he cant muck around, present his chin and get hit at ww. Id still like to see Conor vs RDA, but Conor at welterweight is out of the question..

he moved up because the cut to 145 was killing him. he lost to a LW who was not in the title picture, who didn't train for the fight. his stock is worthless. he'll still move the needle for the next couple of fights, but then dana and lorenzo will be calling him to renegotiate his deal. lol
 
Conor's been exposed. His ground game is still D level after all these years, exposed as a panic wrestler and he tapped quicker then Sage Northcutt. Come on. Those big paydays are done after Edgar takes him down and ends his career .

Conor looked awesome until he got punched, then subsequently sub'd. His stock drops. A lot.

Conor would have faded even harder in the third and fourth rounds. He just can't handle adversity. When the guy he hits doesn't just fall down after a few clean shots he wilts. Guy is a total front runner.
