Conor's stock shouldn't fall too much

Nate had a head made out of a lead block. He took probably 20 bombs to the head.

When Conor was sitting on the stool between rounds, the look on his face, he looked like his confidence was shook and he was feeling his lungs burning out.

Probably thinking "what do I have to do to take this guy out?" Lol

It ruins his momentum at 155 and 170. He's going to have to go back down to 145 and build up his dominance again or start from scratch against a lesser top 15 ranked fighter at 155. Neither title fight makes sense or seems fair atm, he needs to earn everything at 155 and 170 again, no skipping the line. Conor vs. Frankie is most logical.

He looked fantastic in that fight. Haven't seen someone pick apart a Diaz brother on the feet like that so dominantly in a while. Nate clipped him with a good shot though and he just never recovered from it. It happens.

He got beat by a 10 day notice LW. Submitted...again. News flash-Conor is good fighter but VERY human.

Yeah, I'd say it should drop a little but he's still an awesome fighter & character. Kills a lot of his steam for now though. Which is why I was worried about this fight. Should have waited for the title shot.

I felt Conor fought different though. What happened to timing beats speed & precious beats power? He was head hunting throwing bombs. He was winning & looking fantastic but Nate is way too dangerous & has too good of a chin for that. Nate ended up being the one who employed the strategy correctly. I enjoyed the ride, sad it ends.

Conor's power is overrated. Aldo and Poirier were hit with flush shots and Mendes crumbled from exhaustion.

Imagine what Edgar, Aldo and Mendes would do to Brandao, Siver and Brimage?

Lets put it this way. If he lost like that against a 145'er would it drop his stock more than this? Of course. Conor just needs to defend his title in dominant fashion again and he will recover from this. This was not such a damaging loss in the grand scheme of things.

It was a great fight, and he had the balls to take risks. I'm a bigger fan now

If Apple stock to penny stock isn't dropping too much then I agree.

Im still a Conor fan and he lost and got choked but moved up 25 lbs . Conor is a true warrior.

Nate slapped him a few times, boxed him up, forced him to turn into a wrestler, and then choked him out without a fight.

His stock should drop, he basically gave up when it hit the ground
you understand how good diaz is on the ground right?> you understand he tapped miller, right?

People have overestimated his power and chin dramatically, and it showed tonight. Accuracy looked great in the first round, but when he couldn't put Nate out he was in trouble. Anyone with a brain knew he'd likely get subbed by Nate on the ground as he's shown that weakness. That performance early will keep his stock from falling as if he'd gone in and immediately suffered a KO. But it's clear he belongs at a much lower weight to compete. You can't fault him, though. He made himself, Nate, and the UFC a huge wad of cash. Congrats to Nate, he earned that payday in every way.

Not to mention his stock does drop by way of logic. How can you still make Conor vs RDA for the Lightweight title now? Conor just got rocked hard and choked out by a guy RDA beat the brakes off of just over a year ago.

RDA fought smart though, i'm sure Conor could have beaten him easily if he did the same.

Of course it will drop. He's now 0-1 vs guys his own size.
