**Conor's "sluggish" sparring analysis - did training to box Floyd ruin his natural instincts?**

Rumble landed a headkick on DC in his last fight that broke his nose. Anyway Conor definitely does not move the same these days.
And of course those were pretty much his only fights in the ufc I didn't get a chance to see thanks for the correction though.

These are all just excuses for Conor. He was NEVER that good. He looks like shit now because he beat up dwarves before.

The Conor that demolished Eddie was a thing to behold.

It's the same Conor lmao.. Khabib is just a WAY better fighter than Eddie and anybody without Conor's nuts in their mouth can clearly see that.

Hes looked like shit for the better part of the 4 times (5 counting floyd) hes fought since beating Aldo. Flat footed, no cardio , no defense.

Ever since beating his last manlet. Shocker.

Actually he looked good against Eddie but he was a manlet to.

He looked phenomenal against Eddie. Although he flash kod him early . Eddie's chin up, winging punches strategy backfired that night .

Hey guys do you really think my analysis in this thread OP is fighter bashing?

I got dubs for this shit. What in the actual fuck?

People, go rewatch the Conor/Eddie fight. Eddie fought that fought like a braindead fool with no fight IQ or concept of what he's good at and should be doing. Conor never ever had a chance against these guys that could standup and takedown. He barely got by Chad.

Conor was never that good. He's a White, Irish fighter who sort of fights "like a black guy" in a sport that had absolutely garbage striking once the specialists got replaced with the mma guys.

Frankly, he probably just isn't as polished as he was.

Dude trains a lot less than he used to and no longer is concerned with being the best. Mix that with significant stretches away from MMA, and you land here.

It's not unlike why the normally fleet-footed Gustaffson looked like crap against Bones this time around. Keeping yourself in form takes a regular schedule of training + motivation to stay at the best.

When Conor is more worried about being a celebrity and isn't taking fights and isn't training with the same intensity he used to, he's going to slip. Especially when his fights in MMA are years apart. Mix that with age (which lends itself poorly to a mobility based style, look at how Ali adjusted his style from footwork to more clinch based as he got older), and he's definitely fucked.

No, it's more to do with a change in his style.

It happens to a lot of fighters who have natural flow and ruin it by over training it with traditional methods.

I would not be terribly shocked to see Cowboy knock this Conor out.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Donald ko any "version" of the leprechaun

Good god over analyzing one sparring session. It's sparring!!

I think way too much emphasis has been put on Conor's "alleged" lifestyle. Jon Jones and Tyson fought coked up and they were\are in a league of their own.

What I'm observing here, is that Conor is not showing a poor version of his old fighting style, he is showing us a new fighting style entirely.
A new style that is worse than before?...S'plain brah
