Media Conor Mcgregor just solved fighter pay and is about to give UFC a run for their money.

Friday was full of weird announcements from BKFC. Did they really just buy Lethwei to go with their Ice Wars? They signed old UFC fighters and gonna do an open weight tourney sounds like they are giving up on making Bare Knuckle legitimate sport and going for blood and gore. Sad to give up on that I liked BKFC though I would have
how does an open tournament make the sport less legitimate?

It's more likely to never take place, bankrupt BKFC or piss off the investors actually bankrolling this, but your head is jammed so far up Conor's ass you haven't seen the sun in months.
Did you hear that they turned down an offer from Vince McMahon a few weeks ago trying to buy a controlling stake?

If this is real and they are signing legal contracts and proving funds are available, this is the first legitimate threat to the UFC.

This is huge.

Badass tournament also.

This would be right up Ngannous alley or even pro boxers

He should take it on. I can imagine his overmatched opponent would probably be near passing out before the fight, in fear of having to deal with Ngannou winging shots at you in no gloves.

For Conor it'd be a big FU to the UFC as well, Conor was manic the other day in the press conference but he seemed to be taking subliminal shots at the UFC with all the fighter pay talk.

He was taking shots.

Dana vs. Conor is coming. This will be huge.

I hope that it is true for the sake of the athletes, but I'll believe it when it happens.

*******************Need more asterisks:
Fine print in contract: *Payment up to $15 million for first place taken from PPV revenues after costs are factored out.

If the event flops I'll be surprised if anyone is even paid $1 million.

There is no way they pay that out <lol> <lol> <lol>

Probably some term like "15 million paid out if PPV sales exceed 3 million." in the contract they're all signing.

If they are currently under contract they wont do shit...
You should spend a minute reading up on how ufc contract works.

There is always people on expired contracts that are coming up. This will give them huge negotiating leverage.

Why sign another 5 fight deal with ufc for 1 million total

As fair as this t tournament bracket seems pay wise, I gotta see it to believe it,

They usually negotiate before.
Show me all the UFC stars that has said they are signing up for its.
I'll wait

Why would they say it now? They can leverage this in negotiations.

When they talk turkey with Dana, and Dana offers 250k/250k, they can talk and mention this tournament.
