Media Dana White says Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov fell victim to money

Put the true idiots that spam this forum, with junk, on the ignore list.

It makes for a much better experience.
This is the way. Engaging with them is what they want. I actually have that user on my ignore list, but I still have to scroll through a bunch of people replying to them.

Money ruins everything and we want more of it!

I'm perplexed as to why Dana would even say this if he wants to be taken seriously because its pretty common knowledge that Khabib was given many lucrative offers to return and turned them down. The divide between Conor and Khabib, when it comes to the corrupting power of money, couldn't possibly be wider. I'm not on the 'hate Dana White' bandwagon but if he really said that, its pretty dumb.

Well i don t care. It‘s like shit on the sidewalk, you don t need to step in it. I think i have nobody on ignore here

It is fine line for the sport that is for sure.

Pay is big reason we have a lot of inactivity between fights for a lot of fighters. It is by far the number one reason the top guys rarely fight more than 2 times a year. Same reason the top guys in boxing fight only twice a year usually.

Dana White isn't wrong in his assessment. But Khabib a lot less than Conor that is for sure.

I'd much rather be like Khabib than Dana. I'd much rather leave a legacy like Khabib's and be remembered like Khabib than Dana. For Dana to act like Khabib has failed in some way or "fell victim" to something is the biggest load of bullshit

So after everything, Bum Fights had the best business model.

Also, seems pretty obvious that after making a few hundred million dollars, one doesn't feel as compelled to get punched in the head for a paycheck anymore.

Not fair to say about Khabib. I think he would have fought another few years if his father / coach didn't die.

Pretty sure Khabib made some kind of promise to his dad, that he wouldn't fight without him.

I'm sure that wasn't said in the context of his dad dying, but I think Khabib still felt that loyalty. I'm not gonna say money ruined Khabib because I don't believe it.

Its funny when a real coward calls someone who's obviously not a coward a coward.
Hid in the bus. Failed to make weight multiple times but is too scared to move up in weightclass.

Retired undefeated, defended the belt 3 times (more than what the previous champion can say) made enough money to where he can live comfortably while you sit around being mad at him. Khabib wins once more.

I hope there is more context here, because if not, he makes himself sound like a real piece of shit.

So people who get in a cage to get their brains bashed in for our entertainment, can make, too much money?

What an incredibly pathological thing to say. Do you make too much Dana?

Whats wild, there are people who listen to elite millionaires like this and think "Boss is right, only elites should be rich!"

And if you haven't watched this yet, you deserve a treat:

How much money does a man need to live in Dagestan and be extremely comfortable? The answer is far far less than what is required in any first world country. I don't view Khabib as noble, he wanted money as much as anyone, he just needed far less of it. However, there appears to be no question about Khabib's nose being far cleaner than Conor.

It is a valid statement from Dana, but ultimately its unavoidable and he knows it.

More like they were liberated by the money. Neither were any longer reliant on a steady stream of brain Damage to live a fulfilled life without sweating the bills. No doubt it's bad for the product, but thats not the individuals concern. Just like their long term health isn't the promotions concern.
