Ironically James is well within his rights to sure her for defamation now and can also get her to pay his legal costs etc for this case.
I believe she was looking for 1.7 million in total. 750,000 for new house and 1 million for loss of earnings for the rest of her life.
She might have to give some of that 250,000 if she ever gets it from Conor to James Lawrence.
It's definitly possible Conor raped Nikita but I think there are parts of Nikita's story that aren't doing her any favours.

Did he during the trial still claim to have had sex with her?
Could he prove they had sex?
Did the jury believe him?
No

Also as she said, she has no recollection of them having sex, which means IF they had sex she was not in a state to give consent.
Which would make it... rape or sexual assault.

He was there because of things he had claimed which he could not prove.

Yeah but they found him not guilty because they don't believe he had sex with her and it's him that saying that he did. If he sues to say he had sex with her then he's basically suing to say "well actually I am a rapist".
