Congrats to Bam Bam Tai...but he gets mopped by anyone with decent takedowns

Gane would pick him apart and Ngannou is just too physically overwhelming, but I wouldn’t rule him out against anybody else.

I would have him as an underdog against all the other top guys, but he always has a puncher’s chance.

Volkov and Blaydes can get caught and KO’d, neither is a particularly dominant fighter.

Stipe has far more skill, but we don’t know if he’s washed. This is a sport where your career can be finished overnight.

Jones and Tuivasa will never fight, so that’s a moot point.

Aspinall is far more skilled, but it’s not like he’s physically or skillfully overwhelming against Tai IMO.
Hmmm... excellent post from a white belt, great points.

The way he just got up while lewis was hammering away with ground and pound, and started swinging back was such an oh shit moment…

you could literally see the doubt on derricks face, he is so used to people folding under those haymakers that when Tai ate them for breakfast and threw back at him he knew that he was in trouble.

Nobody in the HW division wants any of that Tai Tuivasa smoke. He'll make the rest of them drink shooeys and like it.

His takedown defense actually didn't look that bad. Lewis just had to muscle him down with his strength advantage.

Tai is better than I thought he was a couple years ago so props to him.

Blaydes, Tybura, Volkov, Gane, Stipe, Jon Jones, Aspinall

Anyone with decent takedowns should easily beat him

Derrick Lewis dominated him in the ground in Rnd 1

Regarding your avatar. The one the right is meh. Middle one is ok. But the one on the left … perfection.

True though that may be, he just knocked out Derrick Lewis, so his next fight shouldn't be below that. Only choices should be Ngannou, Gane, Stipe, or maybe Jones, if it's an interim situation (which I highly doubt)

Actually, he stuffed Lewis's last takedown with easy. I think the only reason why Lewis got him down in the first place was because Tai didn't see it coming. In the second round he was more prepared for the takedown.

Some of those guys would be a problem for Tai. I could see Aspinall beating him, but not Tybura.
