Concerning Tom and Ciryl rematch

This is an exceptionally shitty hot take
Cool. Share your solid poop and I’ll give it a smell💩
Note: My stance has never changed from 60 seconds into stoppage time. Check my thread in lightweights. I already said Gane fouled Tommy. Still your boy just milked the sitch and dada is making them all look like chumps…

to suggest anyone is gameplanning for eye gouging is absurd. my guess is tom will be more patient and will be ready for a long fight, and yes he'll be looking for the TD the whole time. i have to admit that TD attempt from the other night was pretty damn lame, he's going to have to do a better job than that to get it. maybe he spars with him long enough to tire him out, and then starts focusing on it later.

It’s going to be extremely tough for Gane. One eye poke and that’ll be a DQ loss for him. He was already at a striking disadvantage, now it’ll just be worse.

I expect Tom's team to study the film, notice the same movement patterns I saw in the 4 minutes of their first fight and use that to prepare tactics.

Unfortunately for Gane, being the fighter who was exceeding expectations and outperforming in their initial matchup, usually means that is the fighter who has the less obvious adjustments.

I suspect that gameplan will include

(Tom)

-attacking Ganes lead leg both to limit mobility and to eventually set up attacks and TD.

- cutting off the cage, specifically finding a way to stop the "merry go round" circling pattern of Gane perpetually circling away from Tom's right.

(Both)

- inside foot position will be important for both fighters. Gane was more effective and had success stepping on Tom's foot. It will be interesting to see how both sides approach that and I am particularly curious to see if low side kicks or "knee stomps" are used.

- both fighters seemed to want to feint to draw a response, aka "go 1st and 3rd" ... knowing this either side could utilize "naked" attacks which the opponent might read as a feint, or "throw away" strikes which are not really intended to land but rather to dictate terms of engagement and influence positioning. I'd say generally speaking this area of the game is advantage Gane, but we will see if either side can make effective adjustments.

(Gane)

- first fight he seemed to be picking his shots and for the most part conserving on punches and prioritizing footwork. It would be a risky but perhaps element of surprise adjustment to sit down on SOME of the earlier exchanges to open the possibility of catching Tom early. Everyone seems to expect Gane to want to "take Tom to deeper waters" so it could be a very effective risk to sneak in a few bombs early when Tom is expecting "feeling out" and may have his expectations subverted

- switch directions
If I were on Ganes staff I would consider playing against the patterns of their first fight and subverting the possible adjustments Aspinall might make. AKA use Tom attempting to cut off the left exit to walk him into a power shot.

Peeping Tom & Daddy don’t want any part of a rematch with Gane. They are still milking this for a DQ (W) so they won’t have to bother facing him again,
All of that is SOLELY your view and yes you're entitled to it but you ARE speculating here.

You do NOT know any of that for a fact and my view is that you are simply dead wrong.

But.....we'll see. Time reveals most things, not everything though.

No response necessary.
-- I've read about 842 posts about the whole tedious episode which is full of people thinking they know exactly everything when in fact most of it is pure speculation. It *almost* makes me wanna read 842 tedious posts about Conor rather than any more on this subject.

I hope Tom will poke the living sh** out of Gane and when Gane cries and says he cant see and the fight gets stopped he should call Gane a quitter just like Gane did to him and call out all the hypocrite fans that will cry about cheating…
It will only matter if Tom is winning and has Gane bloody and huffing and puffing

Tom needs to feign the overhand and lead with a right uppercut. 10 times Cyril would back up and duck his head with a high guard if he was engaged inside his comfortable range. Will be a good fight I reckon.

Tom doesn't seem as intentional with fouls as Cyril and Jones.

He is destined to lose because of this.

Can't fight fair against cheaters.

Gotta cut em down a few pegs.

It'll be very easy for Gane in the rematch now: if he suddenly starts losing (which is unlikely), he just needs to fake an eye poke and quit. NC. <thisgonbegood>
For him to fake an eyepoke Tom's gotta poke his eyes first. Unless you mean Gane will poke himself, which I can totally see him doing lol. And his fans will still blame Tom.

Man that would be hilarious. But who knows they might DQ Tom for doing the same thing lol

Cyril gave them an out and they took it with zero shame…🤡

Cyril should learn not to give people outs. I'd say he should learn not to cheat, but that would be like asking a leopard to change its spots.

Dude's had 3 title fights in his last 6 and fumbled all of them spectacularly lol. Has to be a record.
