I'd say Khabib. He never got ko'd striking.

Islam doesn’t have to rely on his grappling nearly as much as Khabib.

For example, Islam can beat Dustin or Justin on the feet for the entirety of the fight.

Khabib cannot win a straight striking fight with anyone where Islam can if he chooses to do so.

Islam is way more okay with keeping it on the feet. Khabib’s striking is strictly to defend and setup the takedown.

Apples and Oranges. Islam is a far better more dynamic offensive striker.

I feel like hypothetically Islam would beat Khabib in a K1 fight, but for mma Khabib's striking was as effective as it needed to be, probably more than Islam.

Islam is the rare fighter that is both extremely deadly on his feet and on the ground. Both are world-class.

Khabib is the #1 GOAT wrestler in the history of the sport, and its tough to compare Islam's wrestling to Khabib's because Islam isn't grappling anywhere close to the amount Khabib did.

But Khabib's biggest weakness is his striking.... which... well... he wouldn't be winning any kickboxing competitions any time soon. It was piss-poor and its amazing how damn amazing his takedowns and grappling are to be so high up on the GOAT rankings, if only at 155.

Islam may have been in Khabib's shadow... at first, but since Khabib is no longer Islam's coach and Islam has been KOing so many opponents, that speaks volumes.

Islam has overrated striking IMO not that much better than Khabibs
