Batman & Robin, Batman Inc. > Snyder's Batman

Batman and Robin Annual #1 was one of the best comics I have read in a while

Anyone know where I can read some free Batman comics? Maybe even Justice League as long as it has a lot of Batman in it.

If you haven't read any comics before, I think you should start off with classics as far as batman goes. The Dark Knight Returns, Year One, Arkham Asylum etc. Especially if you are big batman fan because of the flicks.

Been a huge Batman fan since I was a kid. Watched almost every animated show or movie about him. Thanks for the suggestions.

Oh yeah. Is Manchester a recurring Supes villain or just for that issue/movie?

His origin was pretty cool.

I haven't got that deep into the character, so I wouldn't know. I could be wrong, but I think he became a good guy after Supes Stomped him.

depends, what Batman title are you reading right now?

Detective Comics?
Batman?
Batman and Robin?
Batman: The Dark Knight?
Batman Inc.?

the critically acclaimed title is Snyder and Capullo's Batman title which starts with the Court of Owls, Night of Owls, then Death of the Family storyline I believe

I'm not reading any at the moment, but the last one I recall was Year one.

old school legendary Frank Miller Batman Year One?

The new story line will be Year Zero, I guess that would be a good jumping point

Ocean Chief, you ever read Batman: Arkham Reborn? I think it's underrated

I also suggest Batman Chronicles Vol. 1, the Kane and Finger Batman, the OG

I recall something about Catwoman, but there were little foes involved.

Do you happen to know if the 52 is in fact a reboot or a continuity? One of the things I heard was that Fries wasn't married and Nora was a woman he was obsessed with.

more of a retcon than a reboot, if you notice Jason Todd is still Red Hood which means Death in the Family happened, so it's yet to be determined what else has happened. I believe Knightfall still happened as well

and yes Mr. Freeze's origin was retconned, Batman Annual #1 was actually another great Batman read

Where can I read these?

Buy them? Download them? See if they're at your local library?

Nah, I haven't read THAT much Batman compared to all the Batman shit out there, but I'm slowly working on it

I have Dark Victory, Hush, and The Dark Knight Strikes Again on my list of Bat shit to read.

Kinda want to avoid buying them, spending any side money I get on my project car. Gonna Google the shit out of it later tonight.

The Bay of Pirates is your friend. But if you've never read a Batman comic before I strongly suggest you read Batman: Year One first.

Not only is it obviously the first year of Bruce being Batman it's also widely regarded to be the best Batman story ever.

Oh man. I don't like that retcon. Seems like a desperate move to become more dramatic than a solid storyline development. At least this helps me understand the volumes, cheers.

I also enjoy Elseworlds. I've heard nothing but good things about Crimson Mist, ever heard of it?
